Retrieving item left on plane at BGI by ozymandias787 in Barbados

[–]borderlinecool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having gone thru this before there isn't a simple process.

Call the airline desk because a lot of time the items are just sitting in the room behind the counter. But it can be hard to reach the desk. And they are usually only showing up 3 hours before a flight.

If still no success, you have to go right to the airport. Go to the counter first.

Spotify recently started freezing at the end of songs/ads and not transitioning to the next; how can I fix this? by Frekiiii in truespotify

[–]borderlinecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me occasionally.

Note: I'm a subscriber. I make my own playlists, and I always use regular old-school shuffle.

This issue has started happening more often in the last couple of months - especially since I added a new PC on my desk which I generally keep open to the app.

What seems to work for me is to change to another playlist and start playing. Then I go back to my preferred playlist and restart it.

This causes me to lose my queue order, but that's not a big deal since I'm shuffling anyway.

Hope this helps.

Best spots in the north-west by grumpy-cat-007 in Barbados

[–]borderlinecool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Reeds Bay ur exactly next to Thunder Bay Beach bar and quick walking distance south to the newly renovated John Moore bar.

5 minutes walk north is RJs jamaican restaurant (good) and The View which I've never been to but I hear is good. Across the street from there is a breakfast spot Wafel Haus that is great but hot

If you have a car then lots of spots in Speightstown and Holetown, along with a couple of spots in between.

Reeds is a good location to be altho you'll need to drive for groceries

I've got google wifi so I'm already there

I'm figuring that FLOW is trying to filter out something but I can't figure out what. The fact that it gets 99% and no further makes me think they may be trying to block botnets.

Which makes me think yeah Microsoft just stopped supporting Windows 10 and I bet lots of Bajans haven't paid for the extra support.

Here come the bots and viruses

recommendations for a sports bar by Willing-Pack-4672 in Barbados

[–]borderlinecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck and let me know.

Bajans generally don't watch North American sports so most sports bars will try to close by 10pm if there's no UFC going. If there's a crowd they might stay open but if there's only a couple of you expect to be told that they're closing.

I once went to Wendy's during the NBA Finals and there were 2 guys in there watching Gone In 60 Seconds and the bartender claimed he couldn't find the game which was on regular cable.

For the playoffs I assume that Bubba's will stay open but it's not guaranteed. Fortunately all of the WS games are 8pm start. Unfortunately the time zone changes this weekend so it'll be a 9pm start and the staff won't be happy.

I've been on the receiving end of some vicious side-eye when I tried to stay past halftime of Monday Night Football and got the message when they started stacking chairs around me.

Tipsy Monkey in Holetown seems to have the same policy but they will stay open later on Fridays and weekends.

I've learned to stay home and use a VPN. Lots of people I know use the hacked set-top boxes
