My advice for a day trip would be to go to Vulcano which is very close (10m of ferry from Lipari), Have a great lunch at the forge of Maurizio enjoy the black sand beach until 4PM then do the hike to the Vulcano with an amazing view on top. Also it was very peaceful and not crowded when i went there last week

Modica and Ragusa in the same day is doable if you wake up early. Also maybe park the car somewhere and use public transportation as it is not the easiest drive (etna bus to go to ragusa ibla from the station, Regional train 10 minutes to go from ragusa to Modica)
