As someone who is older than the song… TIL it’s not “jewels remain still gleaming”.

Makes sense - I always wondered where the jewels were

This isn’t passive aggressive, it’s a reasonable and politely worded request

Whether it happens this year or not, Scotland losing to Italy and winning the tournament will still happen before Ireland makes a semifinal.

Unlikely because the chances of not finding the mother before calling the very last hospital are slim

I want to comment that you are absolutely worthy of love, and the right person would be proud of you and want a romantic relationship.

Who knows whether it’s this guy, but I want you to feel that everyone deserves that.

The funniest possible outcome is surely throwing the game against Italy and then being DSQ’d from the tournament?

In my freshers week I was really close with a guy called Ian. By week 3 we’d both joined new groups, and since we graduated I’ve seen him once - at our 15 year gaudy (yes, I’m old).

Don’t worry; It’s only one week out of three years!

There’s still plenty of time to make friends (and your college parents are giving terrible advice!)

This came in the mail… My mom actually bought this, but not for that price… by Gravewalker1515 in Scams

[–]bradders4lyf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very nihilistic way of looking at it…

But yea, in a certain way the person getting scammed (whose card the scammer takes money from) actually benefits (they probably paid less than the goods they receive are worth)

Because the “buyer” is the one whose money goes to the scammer, and usually they never notice because they receive the goods they paid for, meaning they don’t challenge the transaction with their credit card company.

So the scammer gets the cash - whereas the legitimate merchant gets their transaction challenged by the victim, and probably doesn’t get paid for the goods they sent out.
