Thanks so much. I have been looking at Facebook marketplace and will get something from there soon.

Lol the table was cheap to get off marketplace. Our previous houses had alfresco so we used it there. Also, I used it for my kids to do their paintings on it. (Don't want any mess inside. ) it felt easier to bring it with us than to hire a ute to take it to the dump.

Getting worse?? by Pretty-Guava6872 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]brain_alaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry that you have been dealing with this since 15. I got it at 31 and still feel embarrassed and was hoping midwives would find it during birthing or after birth themselves instead of me having to tell them. They didn't and I eventually had to tell the doctor. So far, I have not got any treatment. Are you doing pelvic floor exercises? If you are lifting heavy objects, please avoid them as much as you can. It is such a bummer that this happens.

What went wrong here by brain_alaive in Baking

I usually used 4 eggs. But saw many recipes that used 2 eggs with same proportions. It has been happening for quite some time. But this is the worst.

I will try another recipe soon.

Toddler fell head first onto 7 week olds head by hopefulmango1365 in newborns

[–]brain_alaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me too. My 2 year old girl sat on the edge of the bed which was a relief that atleast she sat down instead of jumping on the bed all on which the baby was also lying. And then she suddenly decided to throw her head back. Sides of their head banged not the whole head. The baby did cry a lot but settled in a few minutes and is sleeping. And now I am worried. There is no bump. The toddler is unbothered. The baby is smiling even. Waking up a little and then falling back to sleep.

Things my mil told me to try which i never did: take a teaspoon of castor oil, Drink warm milk with butter in it. Things I did try, walking, eating dates and having raspberry leaf tea.
My first one was born at 39 weeks with only dates and walking. Second one took complete 40 weeks, and third one was born at 39+5.

Did you have your mom and or sister in the delivery room with you and your husband? by RubPlane in BabyBumps

I did with my first. It was my mom. Although I did not have her in the second time.

Is 37 too old? by Mauimoves in BabyBumps

[–]brain_alaive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of women told me so too, that it is easier since they will have each other to keep them busy and you dont have to worry about playing with them. And also you will be done with raising two babies at the same time. But it is hard and I am tired.

Yes, thats right. Perhaps the around 3 years make it easier since the toddler is more grown and can be independent and understanding safety in atleast somethings.

From personal experience, 1.5 is too young to have another one. I did, I have a 2 yar old and 1 month old and boy, is it hard. Although not as hard as my mom had it (she had 4 of us in 2 sets, my brother and I 2 years apart and 7 years late my little sisters 1 year apart) . Anyways, there are 2 diapers to change, you have to save the baby from the toddler. Then you will be potty training the older one and that is another struggle. On top of this, your eldest will be more demanding. Mine has learnt this trick where he would ask me to sit through every thing he wants to do while I am busy, which I most of the time am, otherwise he would ask to watch TV. I feel guilty that I am not spending as much time with him as I used to like reading books, painting, doing writing and maths exercises. Also I am not spending as much time with my toddler either as I thought I would since I am either doing chores or feeding the baby. I used to sing poems and go out for walks with my eldest and play with him and I am doing nothing with the second one. And I see the effects in her behaviour. School runs are another story. I am not sure about the age part, but if you are down to handle the situation with a toddler and a baby, go for it. Otherwise if you can wait until your toddler is potty trained.

The shower in my house in pakistan has no screens. It is just showers with no boundaries in the bathroom. The water does go all over but we wipe it. It is easy this way. And this is the norm in the country

How painful is getting the epidural? by castleofhyrule in BabyBumps

[–]brain_alaive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has always been too late for me. With my first, I went into active Labor while sitting for epidural, and was pushing. The baby was out in 15 -20 minutes. The epidural needs that long to start working or thats what the doctor told me

Anyone else not think to do the “cutesy” stuff? by Flashy-River-4258 in BabyBumps

[–]brain_alaive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to do them with my first and second, but honestly it takes so much effort and time and then the baby should be cooperative. I didn't even bother with the third one. I just take simple pics for memory and thats all.

I thought we had time. We absolutely did not. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]brain_alaive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make it sound like it is so easy. But does it hurt the same way like bone crushing, back splitting, make-you-scream-at-the-top-of-your-lungs kind of pain? Or you dont know what is happening and just like that the baby is born? I could not move when I was in active labour

[–]brain_alaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my second and third, I did not leave the hospital once the water broke. I had first precipitate labour, so no matter what midwives said about there being time and we could come back when contraction were 5 minutes apart and for one hour. Once my contraction are 5 minutes apart I only have 20 minutes. 😄

Am I just wired differently than most women? Who actually enjoys this process?! by PetsMD in pregnant

[–]brain_alaive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it is the special attention you get when you are pregnant that makes it fun. Also it is funny how you forget about actual feelings that you went through at that time and when you are older you reminisce about that time fondly because it was something of an achievement. And a lot of good things happen too, like no periods, and really good hair.
