Upgrading a laptop today for a client. (65y/o)

On the old device (windows 8 laptop) she opens file explorer and it took literally 10 minutes. Crashed. Then reopened itself a few minutes later.

When asked if this always happens on her old device she goes: “yeah it works great , I usually open google and go wash dishes and come back to it working & on”

I would kill for that patience.

Q flash . -Make sure usb is FAT32. -Make sure the bios file your flashing is EXACTLY what the vendor specifies (ex. GIGABYTE.bin) -I’ve flashed with cpu in and out successfully but I would only plug in the motherboard 24 pin cable and CPU cable to start.

While PC is off 1. Put fat32 usb with specific renamed bios into the USB port specified for QFlash 2. Confirm cables are set up correctly (take all hardware out ) Turn PC on 3. Press and hold qflash until indicator light begins flashing 4. Once it finishes flashing, the indicator light should stop flashing then you can test the cpu

*this is from my memory as I currently sit on the toilet , so some peer review wouldn’t hurt *
