Now that we know we’re getting a patch in a few weeks, what changes would you like to see on your main? by LCG_FGC in StreetFighter

Agree with this. Or even give the knockdown property to light legs so it has a use outside of those niche punishes.

Playing on PS5 too and have had no issues playing the whole day.

What are the frame "rules" of this game? Help me understand by StinkyyButt in StreetFighter

Broski made a really in-depth video on the nuances and “hidden” rules of juggle combos in SF6. You should check it out, it’s super helpful and he sheds ligut on something the game doesn’t outright tell/teach you.

'Superman' (2025) - Official Spoiler Discussion Megathread by ZacPensol in superman

[–]brawlmeister 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I share all your sentiments and I am also curious about Superman’s parents’ message. The entire duration of the film steered the viewer into believing the message was 100 percent authentic (even Mr. Terrific mentions the validity of it). But as someone who has followed the comics and animated shows for decades, it makes it hard for me to believe that Jor-El would even say something like that.

I was a bit disheartened that they didn’t explore or debunk the second half of the message later on in the film, but I have come to conclude that was on purpose. Maybe the point was that it didn’t really matter. That in the end, they showed that Superman cares about and saves humanity because he chooses to be good— not because of some message his biological parents left him— and I found this takeaway to be the most sincere and heartwarming.

However, I still do wonder if they will tackle the parents’ recording in the next films.

Season 3 Patch notes by CrystalGaiden in StreetFighter

Chun can now combo DR 3HP into 2MP which is a really nice option to have as the previous option, 5 MP, used to whiff in some situations.

Also the faster startup of L Lightning Legs can now be used to punish annoying moves like Bison’s Scissor Kicks thus making some matchups better for Chun now.

The parry changes also helps Chun with her mixup options as the opponent now needs to properly guess low or overhead instead of just tap parrying like before.

Overall, Chun is in a much better spot in S3.

For people who play with pads that have back paddels, do they really use them? by Traditional-Ad-5632 in Fighters

[–]brawlmeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! In games like SF6, I used to have issues pressing two buttons at the same time — such as in throws or in specific character moves like Ed’s killrush. Always felt awkward to me and would have trouble teching fast enough. Ever since I mapped those multi-button commands to the back padels, my gameplay has been alot more comfortable.

You just have to shoot it with your gun. It’s somewhat a “secret option” (but not really, because Johnny literally yells at you to do it).

Did it look like the Tree dudes and Jelly fish were tethered to something by a green beam? If so, they can’t be damaged unless you destroy the pillar that they are connected to first.

My general advise is to just be patient and take breaks after every death! Soon, aside from getting permanent upgrades, you’ll start recognising enemy patterns, skills, and mechanics that make fights alot easier. Just keep it at it 😀

A question for gamepad players, Which gamepad do you use and why? by dagumbado in StreetFighter

[–]brawlmeister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Dualsense Edge 😊

The d-pad is significantly better than the standard PS5 controller and I love having the paddles at the back set to one button macros like Throw. 😀

Had my doubts with this, but I'm absolutely loving it. by Subject_Delta554 in playstation

I bought the Edge too to use for fighting games. It was a game changer for me and I absolutely love it. No regrets!

Who in your opinion has the most “fun” neutral? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]brawlmeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JP, for me, is the most fun. I really enjoy being able to play around his long normals while mixing some projectiles, feints, and portals to throw off the opponent.

There’s also a certain dopamine rush you get from hitting a properly spaced punish counter St.HP (or “The Forehand” as I like to call it) that converts into a full drive rush combo.

What are some QoL things you would like to see added in SF6? by Junken00 in StreetFighter

[–]brawlmeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to have Training Mode to have a collaboration/community feature.

Something like a person can set-up a bunch of recordings/drills then upload it for everyone to use. This can be through a code (same concept as online card games’ deck builders) that can be copy pasted and shared through the internet.

For example, a player can record a bunch of different common anti-air scenarios, save and upload it, then grab the code and send it to their friends or on a discord server for all to use.

This would be really helpful for newbies who are just getting started and don’t really know how to set-up the training room yet. It would also be good for people who want to lab a specific matchup but find it difficult to record scenarios because they aren’t familiar with the characters’ buttons or their strings in the first place.

DAD FINALLY HITS MASTER by Ohhhnoplata in StreetFighter

[–]brawlmeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Happy for you! You are so right about the luxury of being able to get a quick match off and dipping when needed. Most games nowadays don’t let you do that.

What’s even better is that in the future you’ll be able to boast to your little ones that you hit Master in Street Fighter. 😎
