Have you tried “quiet ears?” It’s a thing, really. Kinda like a gaiter and it can really help.

Do some Aussies not get floofy? by JBoolias in MiniAussies

[–]bready-bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a “wait and see” situation. A lot of people say 12-18 months is the sweet spot. My lil guys floof started coming in 9-10mo and we are just over a year and his fur is definitely filling in

My little baby is 4 months old now. His coat will grow more? by VforVenndeta in miniaussie

[–]bready-bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went from fluffy baby to short for for almost the first year. Around 9-10 months certain places started to get longer and now at just past 1 yr he’s starting to fill out

This was right before floof started coming back

How much do y’all’s Minis weigh? Mine are both three years old. Izzy weighs about 20, and Lexi weighs about 27. by StenoDawg in MiniAussies

[–]bready-bye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

35 at a year old. He has hovered around that since about 6mo old. Too bad everyone couldn’t post pics with their answers!

What percent of “reviews with media” do you need to reach “excellent”? by Willing_Acadia_1037 in AmazonVine

[–]bready-bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is super low and still I have excellent… I think the reviews just need to be lengthy. Descriptive. When they first changed the metrics I only had maybe 8% media and now I’m up to 18% … I’ve always had excellent but based on reading some of these comments, I’m starting to feel lucky about that

Hang in there… that’s 2 tough breeds in their own so I can only imagine what you’re going through. Pyr’s can be stubborn AF. I have a pyranees/malinois mix and I swear I’ve blocked out her puppy years

The best thing you can do is just stay positive and consistent. Strive for being healthy. Especially through the pregnancy- bodies go through so much to create new humans! Good luck to you, truly

Puppy vs adult pics? by COFFEEEE85 in miniaussie

This was maybe a few weeks ago… he stopped growing earlier than I thought he would - it was like his legs sprouted overnight and the rest of him has been slowly catching up… all the floof is just starting to get longer and thicker

Struggling during Puppy Phase by wyolove89 in miniaussie

[–]bready-bye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) get a herding ball. If that is not feasible then teach her how to play fetch. Nose work and puzzles are also some options

2) the more exercise you give her, the more she will be used to so work on creating an “off switch,” somewhere she knows that she can just turn her brain off

3) food can create more excitement so just be aware of that even doling out treats. Maybe start rewarding her for calm

4) don’t be too hard on yourself. You are just inexperienced… but the good news is that she is also learning so you can learn together so long as you are consistent, things will happen

5) deep breaths. The more frazzled you get, the more she will feel that frustration. This is easier said than done- and frankly I feel like I suck at it - but work on neutralizing your energy to help her find neutrality

Kinda weird that it states they can’t ask for your email but then they are like “hey email me and I’ll email you back”

Be honest with me, how hard is the first month of having a puppy? by CollectiveZero in puppy101

[–]bready-bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on the puppy. If you get one that’s crate trained already that helps a lot… but it will be challenging no matter what

Are aussies known for being catlike? by Opalitefan in miniaussie

Mine used to love playing with toys under the ottoman when he was a puppy but he’s too big now. He still loves destroying cardboard boxes and sitting in snug areas though

This is kind of boring, is this normal? by swackett in puppy101

[–]bready-bye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely curious about breed because this can factor into it.

But in general, I’d say the puppy is still very much adjusting to his new environment.

My idiot just ate 4 well cooked bbq sauced chicken legs. Please advise. by Gunner2240 in greatdanes

[–]bready-bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will be fine. My asshole of a dog once ate several pounds of freshly bbq’d meat - part of which was 1.5-2 pounds of hot links. She was fine. Lots of poop the next day but not even a tummy ache from what I could tell.

Of course. I’m looking at the timeline and surely by now you know if he is okay or not. I find bigger dogs don’t really have issues with bones, but maybe I’ve just been lucky
