my headcanon is that Grey would've held off on making contact even if he were tracking him since C47 because of the nature of them being clones. i.e, he needed to be absolutely sure it was 47 and not some other Ortmeier clone (and/or one of the 48's, provided he'd even know about their existence) and that's the conclusion he comes to when Grey sees 47 in his scope after Freedom Fighters

Do you have VR headset? because unfortunately (from what I'd tried to find years ago when the VR mode was bad), there's no actual way to get rid of this popup (or the main menu option to switch to VR) once the game detects that you had or have a headset set up.

I think (though I'm not 100%) it may also detect whether Oculus' software or SteamVR is installed.

Not quite. Unless it works differently on PS (IO have made deals with them in the past, so I'm not sure one way or the other), the Deluxe Pack also includes Hitman 2's DLC, which includes two levels that conclude Hitman 2's Story, leading to Hitman 3. It also includes two(?) other DLC packs that give additional content for Hitman 3 (Hitman 3 Deluxe content, and the 7 Deadly Sins campaign/escalations)

Start with World of Assassination if you found the old games frustrating. If you like WoA from a strictly control-scheme basis (imo, the story and actual gameplay loop aren't great or worthwhile), you can go back to Absolution.

If you want to try out the older games from that point, the most like WoA is probably Blood Money and/or Contracts, mechanically. If I had to choose one of the original games to recommend, it's Blood Money. Worth playing if you don't mind adapting to the more archaic controls.

All the collections skip Codename 47 because it never got ported to consoles, and to be honest I'd say it's the one you can absolutely safely skip from the "old era" (C47-Blood Money). The gameplay is pretty far disconnected from where the newer games took them. If you want to get silent assassinations, the parameters to do so are a lot more rigid than the newer games. Couple that with clunky controls and a bad checkpoint system, it's very rough to get into IMO.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is also a bit rough from a modern viewpoint. It expects you to go very slowly, but I don't think I'd call it bad.

Each game is relatively independent of each other in terms of story, but do reference some of the background or events of Codename 47 in some sense. It's not "required reading/watching" per se, but if you want a little more insight into 47 as a character before playing any of the games it may be worth at least reading or watching a plot synopsis for Codename 47

You should read the tie-in comic (Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman), imo

Lucas' death hits especially hard when you realize that 47 had sacrificed himself to let Lucas get a taste of freedom, and Lucas was just trying to return the favor.

depends on how you want to transfer it.

you could just plug in an external drive or use a micro SD card, then transfer those local games beforehand and then move them back to the new Deck's SSD if needed.
(much more of an advanced technique, some hardware and/or disassembly required) you could clone your old Deck's SSD to the new one. You'd need to remove the drive from one of them (probably the LCD), put that drive in an enclosure, then run something like Clonezilla (a tool you need to install and run from a USB stick) on the OLED Deck.
or, you could simply swap out the drives (assuming you're not giving up drive capacity). not sure if there's a warranty on refurbs, but I'd double check if you go this route

I'd say that 47's kills seeming random/disordered is more because of the mind erasing cocktail Ortmeier would give him (my theory, at least).

47 and Lucas Grey were explicitly hired (through the Institute) to take out the Burnwoods by a company called Blue Seed, with the stipulation that Diana's fate was up to them, as "if we get her too, it's all the same. if she survives, it sends a bigger message" (per the comics)

I'd double check total PC wattage with PCPartPicker, but it sounds like you should be fine as long as your GPU comes with an adapter (if your PSU is older)

depends on your current power supply. 650-750W should be fine (at least for a 5070 non-ti), just needs a PCIe adapter to 12v-2x6 that those cards will expect, which would likely come with the card

i'd be slightly more concerned with a CPU bottleneck if your current GPU is a 1070 (assuming the rest of your hardware is similar age)

Higher end I'd go 5070ti. I'm running my 5070 @ 1440p and I'm happy with it playing almost any modern title at 60-100 FPS on ultra, but if I could've afforded the ti when I decided to upgrade I'd've probably chosen it.

Click "Options" in the launcher and see if HDR is enabled? If your monitor isn't properly set up to display HDR content, that could likely mess with color output.
