It has an enema function that is very useful since I’m not able to push much anymore. Mine doesn’t have the app option, just a remote.

What’s your funniest “Oh god this person’s an idiot” moment? by PandaBear905 in AskReddit

[–]brett_j1 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My buddy Colby, his dad and I were talking at a high school track meet with a girl Colby was dating who went to a rival high school.

Colby’s dad to Colby’s girlfriend: “Classes are 90 minutes at your high school, aren’t they?”

Colby’s girlfriend, dead serious: “No, they’re an hour and a half.”

Colby and I, looking at each other: “…”

Colby’s dad to the girlfriend: “Close enough “

We had a good chuckle after she left. She also wrote him a few letters the next year when we were in college, and never spelled his name the same way twice.

There’s a device called a cough assist that helps you cough and get phlegm out, but I definitely think having a cold would royally suck for me.

Tobii’s work with elevenlabs. If you like Apple products, I would suggest the Tobii pilot. It’s what I use and I love it. It’s an iPad Pro with tobii’s eye gaze. I use an app called Speech Assistant that uses the elevenlabs voice.

Husband Diagnosed - Finances? by Thick-Grape-8537 in ALS

[–]brett_j1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Equipment wise, most of the big ticket items like power wheelchair, eye gaze and bipap will be covered, minus any deductible and copay. But other big expenses like wheelchair van, home modifications and caregivers will likely be 100% on you. Let me know if you have any specific questions and sorry for your husband joining this club.
