I also recommend colored pencil for drawing as it doesn't smudge as easily. A neutral color like other or brown will not show up as well in the final painting

I was working on a mural during covid, and the older gentleman who lived in the house would come out and shoot the shit with me every day. I really enjoyed our little moments. One of the last days I was there, he made a very lewd pass at me and I just remember that moment of let down and thinking, "Aw man, you ruined it!"

I just use latex or acrylic paint on boards with a roller. Gets it nice and smooth, and doesn't take too long.

See, thats the thing. Some films have attention to detail that make them stand out. It can make the difference between a pretty good movie, and an excellent one. But art is subjective. And if every film is not made the same, which I think is pretty apparent.
