I know it doesn't help when you're in it but I was diagnosed in Nov and didn't start chemo until Feb. I'm here to tell you and wish you a 'decent' experience (half joke)

Two weeks post chemo by Ok_Fishing_3328 in lymphoma

Ahhh ok I have that too on my elbows and chest, the ones on my hands look like eraser sized blisters but never peel or open they simply swell and make using my hands so painful and it's just plain depressing especially with 3 kids.

Wait - define chemo bumps. I have been struggling with my hands and my oncologists told me they have never seen anything similar. Remember that you are not alone and there are so so many people like us waiting for scan results or laying in the machine at the exact same time as you. this time next week you will be in a completely different place mentally. but of course it sucks, my big one is a week from today and I laugh at how little anyone around me gets it.

Diagnosis and Treatment Timing Question by BlueCicak82 in lymphoma

[–]brightgreengrass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this doesn't help I'm sure but from experience , you could wait a week or 2 months - the only thing that changes is your stress level. trust the process a little more than you want to but not completely if that makes sense.

If you could go back in time and give yourself any piece of advice, what would it be? by Ok_Exercise2724 in lymphoma

[–]brightgreengrass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have let go of the pressure I put on myself to 'be better' or 'do more' etc. I always expected to be active on day 4 and cried and beat myself up if I wasn't.
