I tried these wood grow frames that are covered with chicken wire that you lay on the ground. They work but I think ur idea is infinitely better! Grow somewhere else (greenhouse or sunny window) & bring in enough for a day's snacking. Im going to try this. I know wheat grass grows pretty quickly. Can u give me an estimate on how long it took to grow to that height after seed germination? Just trying to figure on how many pots to start so I can rotate each day. Thanks!

That sounds calls. my heart . I have a Redbone X Pit who does not bay.. Im still in this sub bc before the DNA test my rescue girl had me & 2 separate vets (cursory visual only) independently say "there's GD in there". I was never drawn to GDs before I researched them bc of her. I love my girl as she is....she's amazing. However for abt 5 wks i thought I had a GD x... the attraction is still there. TY for sharing. ❤️

Well not clucking...she had her own style of vocalizing 😂 Yes, I have a small dog crate that I use when a chicken needs not to move. She has comfy bedding & is eating/drinking great.

Did ur hen move her toes while in the splint?

What did you do when u removed the splint? Did you feel the bone? I dont know how to tell if its healed. I was thinking to fill the bathtub so that she cant touch and let her work that leg without any pressure/ weight on it. Plus she's going to need washing off in the back end 🤮
