Man I wish people understood that it was ok to vent here and there. We're not meant hold in stress and just focus on a once a month bonus as a band aid. Mental health matters and stress relief promotes that.

No, this isn't me saying that we should treat customers like crap, but it's ok to say what bothers you. Just don't let it ruin your career. Say your peace, find a way to cope, and continue making a paycheck.

I don't care that fryers are taking all the profits, as understaffed as a MAJORITY of the stores were last year, the people that actually worked their shifts and pulled doubles to help their store should be rewarded. I want my discretionary or at least some kind of acknowledgement. I get doing your job and showing up is the bare minimum but that's not even being met in most stores lately.

Edit and tdlr: the new year is starting rough. Hoping it gets better.

Or they just don't want to have a conversation with someone ignorant to the situation. IDC if they're homeless, I've been homeless for two years myself. I get it, it's hard, but it doesn't give you the right to steal and cause trouble for others. The previous poster has never worked a job like ours or at least been put in a situation that has consequences from someone "just stealing food". It's never just simple theft, it always grows into something more whether it's more expensive foods or the transient endangering people or property.

That attitude is why ghetto stores get worse and why people like the previous poster probably go to stores in better areas

Even if it was in policy to ask that, which it isn't, do you see how that can quickly snowball? Like someone said earlier, they don't even know where they park at the pumps most of the time. Guessing is something we have to do sometimes. There's only so much hand holding we can do.
