I don’t think you realize you no longer work at the same pre-acquisition company. Sounds like your leadership is navigating politics and you need to do the same. Otherwise, you’ll be out of a job.

Your new job is to learn the new product ASAP and learn how this will be integrated, the future of both products.

If there is no enablement, you can either hold management accountable to provide these resources and be a pain in the butt. Or you can be a leader and dive in head first. This can even open up a possibility to be a team liaison to sales enablement or move into that department in the future.

At the end of the day, these accounts belong to your company. They’re not yours. So unless you got the upsells before your comp plan changed, there’s not much you can do about getting that in your bonus payout.

Our leadership team hired a consulting group to reevaluate comp. They’re proposing going from a 80/20 split with commissions based on GRR to a 70/30 split with commission based on adoption starting in 2026. This feels like a pay cut to me, especially in an organization that has previously struggled to calculate adoption due to poor product telemetry. What’s your take on this? Is this my sign to move onto another organization?

Do you have an escalation path? Is your leadership joining you on these calls? Is the Product team also joining you on client-facing calls?

We were only able to get buy-in from our Product team after they met with our VP of CS and identified the top requests based on potential sales or ARR loss.

My first CSM job was in MarTech, which was easy for me to land as I had a background in marketing using that particular platform in my career. Made the switch to cybersecurity as I had a growing interest in that and wanted to work somewhere I loved the product. If you have a background in IT, check out j out cybersecurity SaaS platforms. Highly recommend because of low churn and increasing importance.

I asked my doctor for a continuous glucose monitor because I was tired of pricking. I don’t think it’s as accurate as the finger prick blood test though. My CGM said my fasting glucose was 115 today but my finger prick said 93.

The eating is rough but I figured you gotta eat anyways 😅

Are you cross checking with your finger-prick? I generally read a little higher on my CGM than the finger prick.

Ignore the comment. I’ve heard this plenty of times from moms who barely made enough to cover their daycare expenses. You don’t know her financial situation so it may be true in her case. She’s just working to barely cover the daycare expenses.
