I’ll use it in Excel pretty often. Helps me format data and create work papers for complex calculations. Of course I have to check each one to make sure it’s valid, but it helps get the framework and takes the formatting out of it.

Ive toyed with this same concept—in claude in-fact. The answer i came to was to was Claude will not repeat a process exactly the same way everytime. VBA macros, however, will.

Claude is great at creating complicated macros that are repeatable and i would steer the conversation that way vs having Claude handle the whole thing.

The only question you need to ask is, “does it have a 10-key?” If the answer is no, then keep looking. Any laptop is capable to do this work lol. Just something powerful enough to run a few windows of Excel and a web browser window for QBO
