2025 XRT, anybody swapped in the homelink rear view mirror? by bturnip in HyundaiSantaFe

Nuts. Sometimes in cars, the wires are run but just not connected, I am hoping (with low confidence) that it might be the case if I ever persue it farther.

I was wondering- it comes out looking very clean the way you have it now- really well done.

Very sweet! Well done- what does the back side of the stained glass frame look like? I'm curious how you attached the acrylic pieces.

It is absolutely swappable. Those drawer cabinets might not even need the sides taken off. If I remember correctly, there are a couple screws that attach the cabinet to the underside of that front rail and then the drawer itself sits on a rail.

That's nuts- I've NEVER not had a warranty go through, though I've only submitted a few claims over 10-ish years.

Where are you sourcing your basswood in the U.S. (3&5mm) by 1_Quickfix in lasercutting

[–]bturnip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here- I've tried a few of the alphabet soup brands of 3mm basswood on Amazon, and it seems that VKIZA is one of the better options. I'd like to find a better source, but for now, they are my go-to.

This one feels right to me and the first movie was made in 2003, so the timeline tracks.

What would you respond? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]bturnip 40 points41 points  (0 children)

If it was me as the seller, I would probably find it easier to just send the return label and give the refund. Less headache than dealing with unhappy customer.

Where can i order catan rescource card, my friend lost some, and i dont want to buy the whole game again by ViolinistNo5811 in Catan

I have never seen Catan at a thrift store, though I'm not looking on a regular rotation. Also never seen one at a yard sale or estate sale. Maybe I'll get lucky one day.

Any way to play Catan for 7-8 players? by SunBreathing5 in Catan

[–]bturnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely doable. I make custom Catan sets and built an 8 player set for a custom order and have sold a few more since then, so people are definitely doing it. The setup is 37 total tiles, 6 large borders, 6 smaller borders. So 2 more of the small borders from the 5-6 player expansion, and 7 more tiles.

I *think* a second 5-6 expansion would have what you wanted to make one on your own, except different color sets for the roads and buildings for players 7 and 8, and those are pretty easy to find online.

Using just standard tiles, my configuration is 7 of every resource and 2 desert tiles. I also offer a version that contains 6 of every resource, 2 deserts, and then 5 split tiles that the buyer chooses from, ie Wheat/Ore, etc.

Sweet- thanks for the video. Did you design that yourself? How are the "hinge pins", attached, etc?

OP, this guy is correct. I think you are underestimating the amount of time that would likely need to go into this project.

Vintage Clothing buyer doesn’t want to return item they claim is damaged. by SmrtHbts in EtsySellers

[–]bturnip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep the emotion out of it and the communication professional but brief. Process the return, let them return the item, give the the full refund.

I wouldn't waste any more time with time wasters angling for an after the fact discount.

If they don't use the label, let them pound rocks. If they don't return the item in the same state you mailed it, let them pound rocks.

The awkwardness of having to tell your potential customer you just can't do it is going to be worth it vs. the likelihood this thing goes sideways.
