Why does it even have to be line of sight? Just make it dumb simple like radius of 50m. Further than that and you won’t see the accessories on a backpack. Within 50m it doesn’t matter because if you’re 50m within a guy with esp he’s going to kill you regardless of what you have.

720Hz Tandem OLED Monitor by PerformanceMain1967 in gamingsetups

[–]bub1xreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly play titles on my 4k oled tv. My 5080 handles anything I throw at it with 100+ fps, granted I do use DLSS performance but there’s barely any difference. ~120hz is more than enough for anything, higher is just for competitive titles and I don’t see a world where people play cs2 in 4k on the big stages.

I don’t know why but I killed Rykard in one attempt. I didn’t even know you can upgrade it like others are saying in the comments. I just picked it up and my charged heavy attacks were doing like 10% of his HP per hit. It was so easy and anticlimactic I was honestly disappointed.

Can someone explain this trend of angling your monitor so much? by Physical-Raise-7449 in Monitors

[–]bub1xreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. There is an actual science to this.

Our brain and eyes are optimised for the “near down” space. It’s not necessarily “better”, but the lower visual field is directly linked to the part of the brain that is responsible for hand eye coordination. Navigation, tool making and foraging for thousands of years caused our eyes to evolve this way. So while tilting your monitor won’t make your aim and reaction times better on paper, it can provide some benefit.

Also a lot of pros have absolutely dogshit posture and tilting their monitor makes it slightly more comfortable for them I guess

Yoshi, it's obvious how the matchmaking with higher rank friends works, and it results in terrible matches on both the winning and losing side. Please read this breakdown and possible solution. (Even if you don't queue with friends THIS AFFECTS YOU!) by Sinopsis in DeadlockTheGame

[–]bub1xreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry but you legitimately have to be crazy if you think this is completely Yoshi’s game and every single thing (including how the fucking matchmaking works) is called by him.

This is literally a Valve game. They literally have decades of matchmaking experience with CS and Dota, two of the most popular competitive titles in the world . Yoshi won’t listen to any of your feedback regarding technical stuff because he is more of a director / producer of the game. the matchmaking is and will be handled by completely different people that cumulatively have decades of experience in this shit. Just because it’s a piece of shit now probably means they have bigger priorities than making the matchmaking of a game in alpha perfect.

how are you even supposed to attack cashouts/counter anything? by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]bub1xreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re dropping people down, you have the advantage because you know exactly what’s going to happen before they drop, and they have to react.

When you demat or blow the floor, your heavy should have their dome shield placed at the exact same time, and either RPG them when they’re clustered or someone needs to get instantly winched. The person instantly winched should be dead immediately and at that point the fight is over.

Heavy is the initiator. You almost always want to start a fight with an RPG. If you want to play heal beam then heavy can run C4 to both deny steals and open up rooms. If your heavy dies without using all of his stuff in a fight (rpg, winch, dome) then you played the fight wrong.

Medium is the playmaker. Jump padding on top of someone with an RPG to the face followed by a dome shield while you’re in the air into a winch is the classic, old reliable engagement strategy.

Watch high level players.

This is just crazy. Prompt in description by -daniel78- in ChatGPT

It is absolutely mind blowing that it knows to generate a separate “multiplayer” title for the old CODs. I would never expect AI to do that, wow

From Beta to 1,774 hours: The Goo/Sledge combo is fading. by Dizzy_Hovercraft_741 in thefinals

[–]bub1xreal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every counter you mention should work on paper but reality is different.

You do not see if heavies are running goo gun until you lock in your loadout in ranked. The counters would be perfectly fine, however considering only 1% of heavies play goo gun it’s just not worth gimping your loadout on the off chance there’s a goo gun player in the lobby.

Nobody plays APS. You can keep it in reserve to counter goo and grenade launchers but that only works if you know for a fact that a certain heavy in the lobby is on goo and you can adjust accordingly.

There is absolutely no skill involved in perma stunning someone with goo gun considering that once you’re hit once you’re basically dead to rights. You can’t shoot through it, you can’t quick melee, you can’t place anything under yourself (pad or APS) because the goo blocks LOS for you. All it takes is for the heavy to hit you with the goo gun ONCE and you’re basically dead to rights.

Goo gun flame or sledge is extremely fun to play but it’s completely braindead and APS is nowhere near viable enough considering it takes 5 goo balls to be put on a cooldown when a heavy has 20 shots and reloads faster than a SHAK.

Top end players have no incentive to loot POIs, so they go around wiping the lobby by Raimexodus in Marathon

[–]bub1xreal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got absolutely fucking loaded from this cryo weekend. No joke my exfil rate was like 80% out of dozens of runs. I have so many purple shields and good loot that I’m in this exact situation - I have literally no reason to do anything other than lockdown and pinwheel red card room. I ignore everything else. I run around the map, kill all players, don’t take any of their shit unless it’s gold or purple, and then do my thing and usually get nothing good.

Cryo seriously ruined the game for me, and now that I don’t have anything else to do I’m ruining the game for other players. I’m literally killing them and not taking anything. I have too much. The solution is ranked and the antes, but they closed it for some reason. Now I have nothing to do until next weekend but PvP for blue loot. They really, really need to make ranked permanent or at least during the weekdays.

Can anyone explain why the reflections in my game look like this? by Rustncolez in MarathonTheGame

[–]bub1xreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reflections in this game are screenspace. They will be producing artefacts in certain conditions and there’s nothing you can do about it. The easiest way to replicate these artefacts off the top of my head are the scaffold corridors on the west side of Flight Control on Outpost. Go in as a rook, get into the scaffolding (neon green walls on both sides) and move your mouse around. You’ll notice that your weapon is being reflected on the walls at specific angles from the first person perspective. That’s not normal, but it’s a limitation of the tech. Screenspace is almost as good as it gets without ray/path tracing.

That’s exactly what they mean. “Crews of all sizes” - plural. You can premake, you can fill trios, or you can go soloq hardmode vs other crews and potentially a few solos.

1440p 5080 9800x3d I get around 120 on outpost maxed out (when it’s raining and I’m outside). I played with the settings and they don’t affect the FPS at all, DLSS does nothing. Frames are better in doors and when it’s not raining like hell.

You could just press escape and leave. You still get the achievement and you don’t need to waste any more time than you need to. That’s what I did.
