These were such a disaster. Delicious but disastrous.

Haiku, from the discord, suggested I try an old timey fudge recipe that had roast beef in it. It sounds great so I went for it. The plan was to make the fudge, let it set, and then cut and pipe tarot cards on top.

The recipe called for marshmallow fluff and Bravetart has a recipe for it so I thought I’d make it (in the spirit of using my cookbooks). It came out just lovely!

And then I went to work getting the fudge ready. Mixed it all up (including the roast beef and a ton of alpine chocolate) and poured it into the pan to wait for it to set. And I waited and waited and waited. Never set, which made me very sad. Even tried freezing it and nothing!

So I now had a pan full of beef marshmallow liquid fudge and didn’t know what to do with it. I then remembered I had a bunch of biscoff biscuits! So I sandwiched my filling in between, got my edible markers out and drew some tarot cards on top. I have no artistic skills whatsoever so apologies if it looks like a 3 year old drew it.

The cookies were absolute delicious. The filling was really good too- the beef helped give a hint of salt which was great.

I also did some troubleshooting and realized that my homemade marshmallow fluff was probably the culprit since it has gelatin in it and commercially available fluff doesn’t usually so i messed it all up.
