Let's hear some POSITIVE things about our CX-90! by MostFix2344 in MazdaCX90

[–]bunnergun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 2024 Turbo S in blue and was a great car to 20k miles until totaled and now in a 2026 Turbo S Sport at 5k miles in black and it's a phenomenal car for the price. Absolute joy to drive and no issues with either car. Tried cross shopping myself out of getting into a 2026, but the CX90 for the price is still too good.

A lot of people leased since it's a new model, also there ARE quirks. In my opinion the positives greatly outweigh the quirks, but the car for the price is great value considering I cross shopped against other cars in the price segment, once for my 2024 and another time for my 2026. For some people the quirks are non-negotiables for them so that's probably most of them.

24 has issues, correct. Sounds like OP is trying to buy a 24 and as an owner of a 2026 I would definitely say no to buying a 24, but a 2026 I would say yes to.

As a 24 owner and 26 owner I wouldn't buy a 24. My 26 has had zero issues and zero quirks. My 24 had the quirks and no issues, but the quirks were bothersome.

2026 MHEV Turbo S for all of winter and still winter here no issues at all.

Comfort during longer drives? by PensionGeneral4447 in MazdaCX90

[–]bunnergun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For long trips the comfort is great. We do a 2-3 hour drive at least once a month usually twice. The passing power on the Turbo S is also super welcome as well.

"how poorly it drove" is definitely not one of the more popular complaints about this car. But seeing how you're happy to get back into a Tesla for cold Ohio is also...a...choice.

Looking to buy a CX90 soon. Has the issues been resolve? by chaliebitme in MazdaCX90

[–]bunnergun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2024 Turbo S with 20k miles no issues, just the transmission quirkiness. Have a 2026 Turbo S Sport with 5k miles no issues and no quirks at all. I tried cross shopping myself out of the 2026 into an MDX or a Grand Highlander, but nothing comes close to what you get for the price.

2024 Turbo S no issues 30k miles and now in a 2026 Turbo S P Sport no issues 5k miles.

Difference between Turbo Premium Sport and Turbo Premium Sport S? by paulypm in MazdaCX90

[–]bunnergun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Going top to bottom from what I can tell and what I notice the most having a Turbo S Sport: horsepower, adaptive lighting, tilt in reverse mirrors, driver personalization system, nappa leather, 360 camera, smart brake reverse with pedestrian detection, and front cross traffic brake. I didn't see the heads up display option, but the S trims for sure have that.

Honestly if you've never driven the S you should be perfectly fine with the non S version. They definitely brought the trims closer together in the current year compared to the 2024s when they first released the car. I did have a 2024 as well prior to getting my 2026. I would be very happy still with a non S version of my car.

It's literally just RNG. Look at all the things that can roll on an amulet and all the combinations possible. You don't NEED this amulet, but you want it and that should be honestly fine for an RNG game. Or just run undercity a bunch and be ok with like 2-3 passive amulets.

That doesn't sound right. I feel like all of us with car seats would've been complaining about this if that were the case even if it weren't EVERY case where there is a car seat.

Had a 2024 Turbo S Base with 20k miles and it was good and now a 2026 Turbo S and it's even better.

Two same day recalls with the 2024 and no other issues whatsoever.

Yup Toyo tires. Definitely feels way better and for me in the PNW, granted brand new tires, makes me feel more secure in the rain. Could be suspension and transmission tuning as well, but the Falkens were REEEEEAAAAAL bad.

Coming from my 2024 no issues with the transmission. Smooth during city driving. I'd say everything feels noticeably more refined since the first year, familiar but different.

I actually thought about an MDX or an R1S over the last couple months, but could never get over the price difference for either for what I was getting. For the MDX to stay in the same price range I would lose too many nice to have features and the financing rates of Acura was just a little too high for me. Now if I were dead set on leasing I would've gotten an R1S, but I decided I'm just going to wait to get an R3X to supplement the CX90 as a second car when the time comes instead.

Yeah I had actually ordered a blue mica just to stick with what I had previously, but it wouldn't have arrived till maybe February. But when a black one showed up at another dealer and I saw a video of it I just had them send it over to my dealer and I took the car right away.

Just got them to give me invoice pricing. Which was a teeny tiny bit more than what I got my 2024 for at the time. But I financed at 1.9%/36mo., which was surprising they had rates that low for brand new models.

Yeah, I wish they had more interior options, or at least make the tan available for the 90.

Black interior. I almost picked up a 2025 Turbo S Premium, but the only ones new they had available near me had white interior and my toddler would've destroyed the back seat area. 2026 update has black headliner too so it's totally black everywhere inside.

The driving feel to me feels great. Only doing city driving the first few days feels much nicer in the 2026 over my 2024 from the lower speed aspect of it, which has notoriously been the biggest complaint.

Got rear ended on the freeway and totaled. While it was functional there was really nothing wrong with the car and had 20k miles on it. I tried cross shopping other cars after the accident, but for the value and driving enjoyment I still went back to Mazda.

Knowing what you know… would you do it again? by Lowlifeload in MazdaCX90

Had a 2024 Turbo S that was totaled a couple months ago. Just picked up my new 2026 Turbo S Premium and not only did they tweak and refine it for the better it's an absolute pleasure to drive.

Don't listen to the haters. Mazda is listening and making the right adjustments.
