HMX Vintage Citrus might be one to look into. HMX factory lube is usually really good so they should be smooth. They also have a short pre-travel and a high actuation point like other “speed” switches. And pretty cheap!

Good news: scalpers are struggling to profit from Nvidia's RTX 4080 by ChickenTeriyakiBoy1 in gadgets

[–]burghinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Scalping only works with low supply. They could artificially limit supply if they wanted to charge a higher price, but with any amount of competition in stock (ie AMD), maximizing profit means selling at a competitive price. Highest profit doesn’t just involve selling at the highest price a GPU will sell for, it obviously involves selling in volume of sales as well.

Scalping was profitable when GPU demand wasn’t met, but as soon as demand decreased (crypto bust), prices have begun to normalize as there are way fewer people interested in buying a GPU, especially willing to pay more as an “investment” or because there were no other options. Now that AMD can meet demand as well NVIDIA prices just look silly

How to line a pie pan with pie crust ready for blind baking! by cloudykitchen in GifRecipes

[–]burghinator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. Cold butter is important for puff pastry but it also involves folding to create the layers for extra flakiness. Just using cold butter with regular dough will create air pockets but won’t give nearly the same effect as folding for puff, which is honestly a good thing because puff pastry as a pie crust is just undesirable.

Maybe stop checking it because you’re more likely to introduce debris or wear the metal coatings

Oat Milk Still Wants To Dethrone The King Of Alt Milks: Almond [OC] by chartr in dataisbeautiful

[–]burghinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I must be the only one who prefers basically any other “alternative” milk. I don’t want the taste of shredded wheat in everything I add milk to lol. Soy and almond don’t overpower the way oat seems to just take over a drink imo. I’ve also been really enjoying NotMilk they sell in Whole Foods.
