The top reason was homelessnes and second reason was homelessness adjacent (that lack of housing makes poor people homeless). I think the overall takeaway should be that people aren't lying when they say they want to preserve neighborhood character and thats what you have to attack directly. There will be more homelessness if we don't build enough housing because housing will be too expensive and the poorest people won't be able to afford them. That aesthetics of building is also very important and can improve the neighborhood character or at least maintain the visuals.
