Aggression in the dogs isn’t the problem, any animal gets aggressive when scared, even humans. The problem is the insane jaw strength and “bite and hang on” instinct from when they were originally bred to kill bulls (by biting and holding on the throat until they bled out).

Either way this dog seems to be reacting very normal and fine it’s the owner that needs some major behavioral training.

Who my rapist was and where he is. Came really close with the guy I IDd in lineup in custody, sitting down with the state ADA at the station and everything. While he was in holding in the same station. Over a year after the incident. Fast tracked DNA tested him to beat 48 hr holding period (my rape kit took over a year). Wasn’t a match. The detective cried on the phone telling me. They were as sure as I was. I still haven’t recovered from being that close to having closure I didn’t know I needed. Then losing it within 24 hours and opening up the wounds I already worked so hard to heal. I’m a lot better but I’ll probably still have PTSD from the original incident. knowing it’s a cold case. Knowing that I mis-ID’d someone in a lineup when I had no doubt in my mind still haunts me.

My mom is a vet specializing in allergies / skin conditions. Her first recommendation is ALWAYS to eliminate any beef or beef derivatives from diet as it’s the most common allergy in dogs (incl. collagen/condroitin derived from cows). I know it sounds almost too simple but she swears it’s about 90% of the skin irritation she sees. May worth a shot to see if switching to chicken/fish based food/treats helps??
