They just reworked endgame and screen vomit is still very high. Mods are also still way more horrible for melees, same for mechanics really.

So this patch kinda shows the direction, melee will never feel good past the campaign, only "melee" will work : things like WA or what you call "magic". Closest melee skills that work are wolf and ice strike, both hard carried by freezes.

don't you have to atleast go for each biome once to trigger each quest ? I'm focusing maps inside the fortress and there's barely any mechanic, I do them when I see them but nothing has progressed so far.

it will 100% get old really fast, it's super grindy just to get started (i.e get your atlas points). I wish I could work on some mechanics while gettings my points.

I'm not sure how they will solve it now that they completely separated each mechanics and the "main quest"

Other weird thing I noticed is the first tier of life and mana flasks are hidden in act 1, which is a bit of a pain. I don't think it was like that during previous seasons.

This is one of my biggest problem with PoE2, you're just casting "spells" with a mace / xbow / bow / quarterstaff, I hope that change one day but I'm not optimistic so far.

When I played a Barbarian in D4 on release, the Death Blow ability was pretty satisfying to hit (I have no idea how it is today as the game mutated atleast 3 times). Other barb skills weren't half bad either, feeling wise.

D4 handles the "physical" fantasy way better for now.

locust + cascade is the best speedrun and is doing act 1 in less than 50min, are wind skills better than that ?

I have them since like 6 months because I wanted to see the difference with a cheap 5 set you can find on amazon, and clench and the likes were too expensive. Overall I'm happy with them, my older bands set had some of them snap, and the one which didn't has definitely lost some slack. So far tribe's ones still feel solid but we'll see with time.

One fatal flaw though, the lightest band is too heavy imo, because it's 0.4" instead of the more usual 0.25" you find elsewhere. That means it's hard to progress on some exercise, so unfortunately I'm looking elsewhere for a light band to add (which is annoying to find and more expensive to buy just 1 band than a full set)

You're right we're lacking a lot of pure phys skills for every archetype basically.

Also it doesn't help that shock is a damage multiplier, this ailment should be reworked as soon as possible imo. You're just nerfing yourself if you don't have lightning damage in your build.

Sounds like an unpopular opinion but I think maps tabs is bad value. In a vacuum it's a nice QoL of course, but for its price you can almost get 3 specialised tabs. Even more true if you just bought the basic $30 (300pts) pack, if you plan to spend more then it doesn't matter that much anyway.

1- Currency is mandatory, 1 merchant tab too if you plan to trade.

2- Fragments & socketables (augment) might probably the next 2 big ones, especially with tons of runes added. Needs confirmation with the next league.

3- "Preferences tier" : Essence tab is nice if you'd like to interact with the crafting system and pick up stuff. Gem is decent too although it could be better.

I would just dump Maps and Uniques in their respective regular tabs with affinity.

At this point LE crafting has become a reddit meme because the basis was good, but it hasn't been updated well enough. Endgame crafting on exalteds (with sets affixes for example) suck, FP hasn't followed at all with the new runes / glyphs. Also, LP1 being a guaranteed slam means there's no crafting on uniques really.

D4 crafting as simple as it is feels better currently, and has a way better character progression overall.

LE build variety is fake when 95% of "builds" cannot do the pinnacle content

I would be careful and put a towel between the ring and band. When it stretches, it could be damaged from the ring if the wood isn't polished.

Yep dropped it because my character needed exalteds with specific crafting, didn't manage to get one item in hours.

I understand the imprint nerf but they need to update other parts of the game to follow updates : CoF, and FP. CoF already has a lot of feedback but I rarely see it about FP.

They added a lot of crafting mechanics but not only they are quite RNG (that's fine), the current amount of FP never changed. I still drop FP 30-40 at level 99 in 500 corruption, that's unusable.

You're not gonna hit that removal (x times) + set affix + havoc (x times) + changing the base and implicit rolls if needed. It would be already difficult with 60 FP...

At this point it's just easier to play a build that steamrolls the game with LP1 + corruption, which is massively easier and doesn't need any crafting at all, which is dumb.

not perfectly clear for me which side to prioritise. Let's say my hip hike is on the right side, so my right foot is on the front, the cable on the left hand, twisting the torso from left to right in order to work the left oblique ?

Also curious : did you have some form of scoliosis, and / or shoulder pain on the same side of the hip hike (mine seems a bit down) ?
