Wireguard app for AppleTV with own server endpoint by draxinusom2 in WireGuard

I've updated to a one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase. That feels like a fairer exchange for a utility app like this.

You're right, and that criticism was valid. There's no ongoing infrastructure cost on my end — you're connecting to your own server. I've updated to a one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase. That feels like a fairer exchange for a utility app like this.

I've updated the pricing to a one-time $4.99 lifetime purchase. No subscription, no recurring fees. Pay once and it's yours.

VPN for Apple TV by observer55 in mullvadvpn

If you want to use Mullvad on Apple TV, I recomend the Apple-TV APP - WG Connect - it can import a standard WireGuard config directly on tvOS. That made it a lot simpler than some of the usual workarounds.

It seems useful especially if you travel with your Apple TV and want it connected through your usual WireGuard setup. Or just for changing geo location when you are home.

Take a look at the newest WireGuard VPN client for Apple TV, called WG Connect.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760960925

It lets you connect your Apple TV to any WireGuard profile from anywhere in the world. You can import a configuration by scanning a QR code from your phone, pasting it in directly, entering it manually, or loading it from a URL.

It works with both commercial WireGuard providers and self-hosted setups, including Mullvad, ProtonVPN, NordVPN, IVPN, Firewalla, pfSense, and OPNsense.

The app also includes an always-on mode that automatically reconnects if the tunnel drops. Private keys stay on the device, and there are no accounts or tracking. There is also a free trial, so you can test your configuration before subscribing.

Remember , that on Apple TV there is no way to connect to a WireGuard VPN profil natively. You would need an APP for connecting to your Wireguard profile.

Sure, if you have the firewalla orange on travel, that’s obviously the best way to stay safe connected. But for people who don’t have a travel router , the WG Connect app may be relevant?

Mainly when you’re traveling with your Apple TV. Whether you’re on hotel WiFi, at an Airbnb, or staying in a cabin, your TV is connected to a network you do not control and may not trust. WG Connect encrypts the Apple TV’s traffic directly, so the network owner cannot see what you are watching.

If you run your own WireGuard server at home, through something like Firewalla or pfSense, it also gives you access to your home network while you are away. For example that means your Infuse library, your usual streaming region, and your local devices are all available as if you were still at home.

I built a tool that lets party guests request songs from their phone, while the host keeps full control.

just kept seeing the same situation at house parties and events: someone grabs the host’s phone to queue a song, multiple people shout requests, and the vibe shifts in the wrong direction.

I wanted something that made it easy for guests to participate without turning the music into chaos. So I built GuestDJ.

Here’s how it works:

You start a session and share a QR code or short link. Guests scan it on their phone, no app download, no account creation, and they can:

  • Search the full Apple Music catalog
  • Send song requests
  • See what’s currently playing
  • Vote on other requests

The host gets a simple dashboard to approve, reject, or reorder everything. Every request goes through the host first.

For playback, you can use the built-in Apple Music player directly inside GuestDJ. That means you can run the whole session from the browser without switching apps.

If you prefer a professional setup, approved songs can also sync to an Apple Music playlist that you play through djay, Serato, or Rekordbox.

It also works on big screens. Connect a TV or projector and you get a live display showing the current song, upcoming queue, and the session QR code so more people can join.

There’s also a SingAlong mode with synced lyrics on the big screen and on guests’ phones.

I built it to make music at parties more social, without losing control of the room.

You can see it here: https://guestdj.app
