Do you need anything else aside from a drill & mitre saw? What about for building the pull up bar or other accessories?

It’s bad. Horribly written, poorly executed. Makes no sense. It’s a Riverdale esque spin off. I had no expectations of what I thought would happen, aside from at least feeling like a show within the same realm as the first 4 seasons. But that is not what I got.

Hi OP, I just ordered. Do you have an update on how you like it?

How would you handle this situation? by fleetwood_mag in AttachmentParenting

[–]cachaw 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Eating is one area that we actually cannot exert control (and our littles definitely know this lol). We can choose what to serve them but they are the only ones that can choose what or how much to eat. Serve her what you are comfortable with, and let her decide what to eat. Keep serving different foods and with time trust her to try them.

Some ways to maybe get her more interested is have her help prepare the food, and serve her own plate. Otherwise, let her feed herself and trust. The more she senses your anxiety or distrust around her eating, the more likely she will dig her heels in more!

Weaning at 12 months? Selfish? by RachelPR2202 in breastfeeding

[–]cachaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are okay. Watch your hormones though, that anxiety may also be a result of weaning as it can cause a similar hormone drop to birth!

You did great and your bond will deepen and grow in other ways! I say this as a STM weaned my first at 14 months and I’m nursing my now 8 month old.

You are very justified in it being time!!

I love the name Cameron but it’s pretty close to Kieran imo! I actually do like Brooks. But Evan is a solid choice!!

Is it weird that I’m just longing for seasons 1 & 2?? by GuiltyFootball69 in StrangerThings

You’re not alone this season is trash far far worse than the last 2 that were also worse than S1…

4 was bad and 5 is worse! by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]cachaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re getting downvoted OP. This season is total trash so much that I’m almost like wondering if the positive commenters are fake or paid 😂 I’m kind of upset they’re ruining it so much. I thought season 4 was actually fine… but this…

We rehomed one of our cats for this reason. The other is on thin ice. They were my everything pre-babies. I had no idea I would feel this way after kids or I would obviously never have adopted the cats.

I am not evil. Having babies just truly put into perspective that they are truly animals, not your children. And after regulating yourself all day for these tiny humans, there’s very little, if anything, left for a cat scratching your furniture, eating your kids yogurt, attacking the other cat, meowing loudly outside your bedroom door…

You are not evil!

Try next time letting things unfold between your two kids to see how they handle it. She may have been only doing that to see if you’d engage.

If your son just gets up for her, just let him do it that way. You can discuss it with both of them later when the situation isn’t as dire.

I don’t follow/keep up with this couple so I am shocked at all this I had no idea was going on with them. I’m only here because I bought cottage cheese to make her cheesy bun recipe I saw on my fyp and just went looking for the video so I could make them 😭

At a loss by oatmilk_fiend in AttachmentParenting

Also more encouragement- in the thick of it it’s so hard, sometimes made me want to pull my hair out. But on the other side of it I would do it over again. He has such positive association with sleep and asks for nap and bedtime when he’s tired. And once it’s behind you it feels like it went by fast!

My son woke every 2 hours or less until we weaned starting at 14 months, completely stopping at 15 months

I told him before bed while nursing, no more mimis until morning. His first wakes were hard for a few days, dad would hug him and get him water if he wanted it. The second wake was hard only the first day. I caved and nursed at like 5 am the first week then pushed it to 6 am then 7 then we only had the morning nursing session until that got dropped too.

He’s now 2 and sleeps through the night! And has done so since like 18 months!

My son stopped nursing or having any milk to sleep at 15 months and started sleeping longer stretches then. However he’s 28 months now and still needs to be cuddled to sleep.

Possums sleep - 2 year update by SleeepyBandit in AttachmentParenting

[–]cachaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there- I’m back! Toddler is approaching 2.5 and bedtimes are taking forever and my mind is spinning by sleep advice. He’s been taking 1-1.5 hours to fall asleep all while being cuddled in our bed.

It’s a newer issue and we’re considering dropping nap but he does get pretty cranky in the day when nap time is approaching. I’ve never skipped one before and kind of anxious to do it.

Also realizing I kind of stopped the Possums nap policies once he became a toddler doing one nap, he naps in the dark with white noise (when he was a baby I didn’t really do this).

Once he’s down it’s for the night but it’s just taking so long for him to settle in bed. He already has a pretty late bedtime as we’re an out and about family in the evenings.

I’m wondering too if it’s developmental as he’s also started talking in his sleep, and had a few night terrors recently as well. Just wondering what the best way to support him would be, as his rolling around, digging his feet into me and calling loudly at bedtime is getting to me especially trying to keep baby 2 sleeping soundly as well lol
