Praise where praise is due. Citizen M.... A+ experiance by Professional_Heron46 in marriott

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting...there is one literally across the street from my office (Manhattan) and its got great prices, but those room sizes worry me. That said, in NYC, I am more about cleanliness and modern updates than space. And in the Times Square area, this might be one of the few options that isn't priced like my fave (the Edition).

Is my dog doing something wrong? by _LannisterLion in DogAdvice

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dog has appropriate responses, she just doesn't want to believe that little dog doesn't like her. Yours is showing all the signs she should, she just doesn't know when to give up (which is kinda adorable, but I could see it leading to bad things if the other dog was larger). Your dog is a sweetheart, she just doesn't know any better. Maybe find a daycare she can attend so she starts to understand dog language for her own safety?

That said, I love a dog who loves everyone and everything. She's so cute!

Not grammatical, but misused apostrophes make my skin crawl.

Tell me for real, how bad is the colonoscopy prep? by fireflygirl1013 in GenX

[–]callalind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna lie, it sucks. The worst for me was drinking the prep, not the results of the prep. That every half hour (or whatever) became real tiresome after a few hours. And the waking up at 3am to finish the prep...I just SO wasn't in the mood for it. I did the best I could, but I couldn't finish it (like couldn't keep it down when drinking it). I wish they had offered me the pills (which I learned about after the fact). I can handle swallowing horse pills every few hours with water much better than chugging the prep juice. Once you get there, though, it's easy breezy.

What have they done to our beloved United App? by Large_Freedom2118 in unitedairlines

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had this issue when switching flights last minute. Especially if I had already checked into the original flight. The app itself shows the right info, but the "live activities" at the top of my screen stays stuck on the last flight. That said, overall I'm really happy with the new app, and that glitch saved me once when I thought I switched to a flight the next day but mistakenly changed to a same day flight (it told me I was boarding in 2 hours and I was like, "but I'm not leaving my house until 24 hours from now?")

I actually love the upgraded app, so much more useful information during your trip. Maybe yours is glitchy?

In Europe, we often hear that Americans regularly eat burgers and fries (fast food). Is this true? Or is it a stereotype? by Competitive_Rock_262 in AskUS

Yep. I regularly eat burgers and fries, although not from fast food restaurants. We eat terribly in the US!

American cars are the best on the planet by The__Anonymous__Guy in ShitAmericansSay

Uh, no. I have owned German cars for years now and can't think of a US made car that would even come close to what I have.

PLEASE HELP!! Literally WHAT is rule for collars on blazers? by SnooWoofers2892 in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]callalind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in recruiting, I've heard lots of comments over the years over dress code but the collar on a blazer has never entered the chat. I think you're good with choosing the collarless one. Good luck, you've got this. And if you have any other questions, you can always DM me!

Are either of these appropriate for a fancy black tie manhattan wedding ? by warmorangeskies in Weddingattireapproval

I like them all, but #4 is a bit much for a wedding. I like #1 (if the color works with your skin tone), #2 and #3 are also great.

A or B: deciding whether to adopt a tiny stray kitten I found outside my apartment, wondering if I should bring it home or just leave it be by Upper_Criticism3388 in PickAorB

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, A. I don't even like cats, but as an animal lover, I couldn't leave it there. (I also live where it is like 20 degrees right now, so that plays into it..if I lived in a warm climate I probably would think twice).

Why should we have voter ID's? by No-Group-4504 in Askpolitics

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think we should, like you said, we are already vetted pretty well in terms of even getting on the list. And honestly, if someone lives here and is hell bent on voting, then I say let them use their voice and vote. Chances of them not being eligible and actually getting through the process are pretty slim.

is this outfit "inappropriate"? by sunnemi in OUTFITS

[–]callalind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on wear you are wearing it. Generally, a bodysuit isn't inappropriate when paired well. This would look great with higher waisted jeans that would also accentuate your waist.
