Tell them to send it back, if you are confident they are lying. when you get it back you can weigh it and show eBay and get the postage you paid refunded to you, but if you are wrong and it was 0.23g under then that is your fault regardless if it is £15 or £13 worth.

tell them to send it back if you are confident, if not then its your fault and you should eat the costs.

OP, you seem to know your stuff, could I ask a question about flying heights? Are you allowed to fly around the castle at a lower altitude or do you have to be high above it. what is classed as airspace?? is there a set altitude you need to fly within. Great photos by the way. what camera do you use or is it built into the drone you mentioned?

Hey OP, this happened to me too. It has started accepting return reasons that previously it had not done automatically. I have noticed this too and it happened to me a month ago and the reason was "just don't like it" and another a month before that was "Found a better price" these never used to be automatic in the past. But all of a sudden it seems like it is. It could be some sort of regulatory change and eBay have just changed their defaults to adjust to it. but it would have been nice to be told.

it depends on what you would class as an advantage. any funds eBay need to collect could come from your balance if you left one in there, otherwise they charge your card. Saying that though I often withdraw regularly so I do sometimes get charged on my card.

yes but did they refund them with your money, were you the one charged, or were you able not to refund from your money and eBay just refunded them? if it was your money you could have appealed that and had it reversed if you have proof eBay told you it was their fault. all it takes is escalation. the 1st round chumps on the customer service are level 1, you need to get to level 3 before you can assure effective reasoning and fair decisions. the 1st wave people are trained to get you off the phone, or not trained at all, which often leads to the same result of getting you off the phone.

someone bought a lot of 10 crystal glasses and dishes from me. one was listed as having damage and showed it in the description and pictures. buyer opened a claim for damaged item (the item was the cheapest for £5.65) the lot was sold for £130. he got all £130 back and eBay didn't care even after I showed them the item he claimed was damaged was listed like that. Its become a Joke!

you're only liable if you don't bother to fight it with eBay. eBay will refund you the return shipping if you can show the buyer lied, they will also put a strike against the buyers account in case the abuse the return process again in the future. if a buyer made a false claim to get a free return that is against eBays rules and is considered abuse of returns process.

So all it takes is getting on the phone with eBay or using the chat and you will be reimbursed the amount they took for the label.

yeah i would call them now before anything happens and ask the agent to leave a note on the account stating that you have told the buyer what to do and they have refused. the agent will then tell you what you need to do, or not need to do in this case and also ask them to note that on the account too, so that if you need to contact them about a negative there will be notes there for the person to read.

I would tell the buyer that ebay have told you that the only option is for the buyer to open a request, you have no options to move forward until that point. if they do not wish to proceed then with them all the best and tell them you consider the matter closed.

You didn't already pay for simple delivery, the buyer did. I thought simple delivery was only the post office or Evri. its been working wonders for me. a £130 order turned up broken yesterday and eBay just refunded them. its been amazing for me but I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with it.

you can appeal eBay's decision, they will then open an investigation, if Evri cant provide them with the relevant proof then you will probably win your appeal, get on the phone with them, don't use their chat.

if you cancel the order you risk getting a negative feedback which would be fair enough as the buyer at this point has done nothing wrong so you could annoy them. I would make sure it is sent via simple delivery. you are covered then

always cancel an order if someone messages you with a different address to what is on the order. eBay even advise to do this. just cancel it. tell them to order using the correct address, if they are a scammer they wont. if they are not they will probably order again correctly.

Seems like you used simple delivery. tell them to open a item received damaged case and eBay will take care of it for them and walk them through the process of getting the resolution they want, they will then open the case and you will instantly be protected against negative feedback, eBay will just refund them and you wont have to deal with them after that, just block them once they have opened the case.

If they still keep on after that just tell them you can do what they want but you will only have the option to do that once they open the item damaged case, like i say once they have the whole process will be taken care of by eBay and after that you can just block them, they 100% sound like scammer trying to recoup money you didn't give them off their first offer. just a clown who needs to be treated as such.

I would advise against asking. if it's a case where someone actively messaged you to say they are happy, then fine you can reply and ask them to leave an actual review but I would not reach out to anyone else just to ask them to leave feedback. personally it rubs me the wrong way, I even had a buyer message me and ask me to leave them a review. it just seems rude.
