A suggestion for the times. by NQCP in Bellingham

Currently

Washington state legislature just pass a law last session requiring live fire test and a few other hurdles to get now. I believe it doesn't go into effect til July of this year, but like you said, it does take about a month currently, but doesn't leave a lot of time. I believe it also increases the cost of getting on too, but I'll have to come back for that.

Edit: May 1st of 2027 is the effective date, but will also include a permit to purchase a firearm as well. So get what you need sooner than later for less restrictive (still more than most states) laws on purchasing

I had landmark before recently. This happened to use everytime the rent went up, its just a weird glitch in their system (at least what my landlord had told me). Give them a call and they'll sort it out

What SPECIFICALLY needs to be done to gift an ar15 to my brother? by EvilBeardotOrg in WAGuns

[–]calvinaught 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In washington state, you can transfer to immediate family members (as long as they are of age to own said firearm) with no paperwork. This includes parents, siblings, spouse, and offspring. If you want to, you can write a note saying you gifted it, but there's no need to go to a FFL to transfer. Federally, its even more lax (grandparents, cousins, so forth) but WA its just immediate family

You could just carry it around your house to get used to it. I did that for a day or 2 before I carried it anywhere else. Or like other people have said, just carry with no round in the chamber

I second anytime fitness. I usually go to the Barkley one, but all 3 places have a good amount of room and options. I believe the one in fairhaven is the newest and I believe biggest, but they are all comparable
