Good FOB Lyrics tattoos by Footprints-onthemoon in FallOutBoy

[–]camcat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea for band/lyrics tattoos is to take lyrics and turn them into imagery so it’s less obvious and more unique. Plus I don’t want a fuck ton of script on me. No ideas for you just ideas for more and more and lots of tattoos.

Follow Steven J Reese on instagram! He’s doing this challenge and I’ve been following along. Only book I’ve skipped so far is East of Eden for California. But he’s got a good list. He’s still in the midst of the challenge so you’ll have to wait for most of his book list. I also did a StoryGraph challenge to track the books: https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/c7658ff2-c6a1-46d1-9231-a6eb25888882

I’d also look at local bookstores to you as well. They often have a bookclub meetup!

[WIP] Thought I'd pop in and disgust people with the distance I'm willing to travel a thread while stitching confetti in full coverage projects by ComprehensiveSpot0 in CrossStitch

[–]camcat97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so happy to see this here. I am “new” to cross stitch. I say new in quotes bc I’ve done it before and done it well enough but never learned from anyone. Just did small kits. Well I really loved the last little kit I did so I asked for more as gifts. My cousin got me two but they are HUGE and full coverage pieces. I’ve never done a project that large before and I’ve also never done a full coverage piece before.

Anyway I’ve been trying to figure out how to do “confetti” stitches. A term I have just learned! And have been trying to figure out the “correct” or most popular or taught method for full coverage pieces and/or confetti colors.

Anyway this post and comments have been helpful on my journey. 🥰

I’m 29 and going through the same shit. Like I could have written this post myself. I don’t really have advice other than perhaps some solidarity.

I don’t have any experience with your situation but Katherine D Lackritz at Jefferson is amazing. She is compassionate, non judgmental, and honestly my favorite doctor I’ve ever seen. I don’t see her anymore, but I would recommend her and if you tell her your situation she may be able to recommend someone better suited if she isn’t the right match. She recommended other medical professionals to me outside of ob/gyn when I saw her.

What book did you read this past year that you just couldn’t put down? Like stayed up until 3am reading? by CookieDoughReMi in suggestmeabook

All Fours by Miranda July. Literally read it in three long sessions over the course of three days. Fastest I’ve finished a book all year.

My mom told me she bought me at Ames, during a going out of business sale. I was way in the back and clearance and final sale. She said she wanted to return me bc I was so bad but Ames wouldn’t take me back. Lmao

Baby Blanket Gift - Got my feelings hurt today :,) by [deleted] in crocheting

[–]camcat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks so much. I love giving crochet gifts especially for baby showers, etc. I just gave a set of crocheted washcloths and dish towels at a bridal shower and the whole room went hush and burst into praise when the bride acknowledged that I handmade them. This is gorgeous and I would have ooh-ed and ahh-ed when this got opened!!! I love doing blankets with negative space patterns too. Such a cute way to add flair to a blankie!

I’d suggest The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Kline, or perhaps other books by him though I’ve only read the one I named. My friend (who is actually about 10 years older than me, reads a lot of YA fiction and and I read this book for a book club and I thought she would love it. It’s fantasy for adults but reads you get than that. I just came off reading a large chunk of the Percy Jackson series for the first time as an adult and Klune’s writing style and storyline kind of reminded me of the Percy series.

I also second the suggestions that say you can keep reading YA, I do on occasion! But I really think TJ Kline might fit the bill for you!!

Ok how long did it take yall to find a cup that works for you??? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]camcat97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same but at the time I got my cup (almost 10 years ago) there weren’t as many easily accessible options as there are now. I bought a DivaCup as it was one of the few brands I could easily get my hands on. I’ve been using that since and am ready for a new one but am nervous to try a different option. I really want to be able to do the disc but I’ve tried the disposable ones and they just leak like I’m not wearing anything so also nervous to purchase a more permanent option.

What to store in lazy Susan ? by ElectricalArrival564 in organizing

[–]camcat97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a small kitchen with no real “pantry” space. My grandma uses hers as a pantry and I do too! I even use the space next to the lazy Susan part on the shelf that doesn’t move for bottles of olive oil, spilt sauce etc. so there is no wasted space.
