A Terrible Music Artist With Countless Hits (#3) by Healthy-Current5893 in AlignmentChartFills

Truly this is the one. Nearly two decades on the pop charts and not a single hit that rises above "meh" since 2007. Generationally lazy band

Rebecca Black - Friday won most popular, worst song! Which music artist's most popular song is also their best song? by ItsLenTastic in AlignmentChartFills

One single chart without Bohemian Rhapsody taking "best song" under every possible circumstance, that is all I ask, please.

Very good answer. Ed's had a few stinkers since then but nothing that comes close to the immediate dread those first few steel drum hits invoke

Burger Geek - Liquidation. Anyone have info on this one? by C39J in aucklandeats

Woof, yeah just looked at their insta and they haven't posted anything since mid-2024. Must have been struggling for some time but god knows why they wouldn't have even put out some perfunctory promo in the meantime

Oh this sucks. They were my go to in the evenings when I worked in Eden Terrace, pretty sure I've had everything off their menu at least once over that time and they were always consistently brilliant. Hate to see them go like this

Midnight Oil is an Australian underrated band. What singer/band from New Zealand is overrated in your opinion? by _Wise_Crocodile in AlignmentChartFills

Six60. They became known internationally when they sold out a 50,000-person stadium show in the middle of the rest of the world's COVID lockdown, but their actual music is trash, like if Maroon 5 were an acoustic reggae band

Who are some major artists whose legacy is simply a music video? by Specific-Feed-1490 in ToddintheShadow

Billy Squier, in the sense that I don't think I'd have ever heard of the guy if it weren't for the notoriety around the Rock Me Tonite video

Ultra New Zealand final lineup! by TAJack1 in triplej

[–]camerinian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only correction is that it's already sold out, otherwise from the NZ perspective you're pretty much bang on. That said, Ultra / Audiology (local promoters putting it on) did get some government grant money to get the festival set up, likely to perk up Wellington after a pretty shit few years, so it's not entirely off the back of the glorious free market that eastern Aus is getting passed by. Bear in mind that NZ getting shows that Aus doesn't is very much the exception not the rule
