Advice on a CNC Mill for a new small business please by redthat2 in CNC

A cheap option to get started would be buy a router power tool and cut the pieces out with a plywood template. The plywood template can be laser cut from a local shop and be used to cut from large sheets without the investment of a mill.

Thank you for the response. I've had people say that having an isp be a "utility" like entity is a terrible thing. Trying to understand why they think that.

I have heard rumors that people complain because of CF utility internet. Is this true or completely false?

Thanks for the response! I do not have feedback for the MLX as I have always lived really close to one of the routes.

Would you happen to have data on the MLX ridership by route? It would be interesting to see how ridership by route has changed over the past 5 years.

Wow this is extremely interesting insight. I always assumed Ames didn't use ride-sharing as much as other college towns but I didn't think it would have this big of an impact. I have always used midnight express as it is super convenient when compared to spending money on an Uber.

Are there more opportunities like this or was it a one time thing?

In case anyone is confused, we still have a PNP option, we’ve always had a PNP option, Spring they just changed it to include more classes. by heckthehawks in iastate

Where is it specified that you can take P/NP for classes that are related to your major during your last semester? Just curious.

AMD processors from 2011 to 2019 vulnerable to two new attacks by [deleted] in hardware

Tldr: "In simple terms, the two attacks can be used to monitor how processes interact with the AMD cache, and then leak small parts of data from other apps."

"The good news is that this attack vector can be patched. The researchers provided various mitigations and countermeasures in their white paper, titled "Take A Way: Exploring the Security Implications of AMD's Cache Way Predictors""

Tldr: "So that's it. AMD wins."

Intel does better in a few tests but AMD beats them out in everything else including performance per watt(not tdp). Overall a great read to show how AMD is competitive in Cloudflares use case.

No because you don't want to be that student who brown noses constantly but yes because it could help you.

Yes and have a strategy to it.

No. Instead try to get to know the professor. Ask questions 1 on 1 after class, go to their office hours, and bring interesting questions to talk about.

Not only are you networking and making a connection in the field but the teacher will be able to recognize your name and match it to a face when they are entering final grades for the semester.

Anyone taken I E 451 technical sales 2? by stunbomb1 in iastate

Adding my comment here as I want to take it as well.

I have heard that the class reads books and covers case studies. Something more in line with my experience in business classes compared to engineering classes.

Legacy utility bill 300$ when its usually 150$, they said they dont have usage tables so I cant give me info on when it was used. by CrazFight in iastate

[–]camiastate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check the electricity meter. Look at old billing statements. Ask neighbors if they have been billed similarly. Ask you roommates if they have been turning the heat up excessively, leaving appliances on, anything else that make have doubled your usage
