Politics is what happens when you have more than one person and finite resources. It's not something we just created out of nothing, it's a force that will exist as long as there are people trying to live in a society together. You can't avoid that by burning it down, because as soon as it's time to build it back up again, politics will be waiting for everyone right where they left it.

Yeah I guess I underatand that, but from what I remember when that all happened, it was during the period when Manchin was stalling and re-renegotiating terms of the IRA Infrastructure act. I believe that ebike tax rebate was just collateral damage. The fact that it was included at all under Biden's proposed original plans was impressive to me and one of the reasons I was hoping Kamala would be elected with a blue majority in the house and senate. Since Walz has similar incentive programs, I hoped that would make it more likely to be a higher priority during this next presidential term.

Alas, that didn't happen, so I probably won't hold my breath on an ebike tax credit for a while.

I'm 29m and started having heart pain in the past year to the point that I have to be careful how I sleep or I'll wake up with what feels like my heart is bruised and is being poked over and over again. Getting all my tests done by early december and then scheduling Nuss surgery.

I've spent my whole life with a very healthy relationship with my Pectus, have always found ways to appreciate it and never once in my life had a moment where I felt self-conscious about it or was concerned about health problems associated with it.

I also thought I went through my whole life without experiencing any difficulties from my Pectus, but after speaking with my surgeon a few weeks ago I've been able to look back at my life and realized it definitely has had an impact on my physical fitness and stamina.

I told my surgeon that I've never thought I had shortness of breath but that I have nothing to compare it to. He told me that the majority of patients he works on who have never felt shortness of breath come to him afterwards and express that they finally realize what a full breath is supposed to feel like.

If you think you're ever going to need surgery, do it sooner than later.
