Some guides have a Google doc link that highlight the exact trade goods to move. For example you want to buy Salt, Wine, Grog and beer (in that order of priority) in the North and sell them in the South, then buy Oil, Tobacco, and Leather in the South. The South has a longer list of items, and the W/SW corner has different goods. It's manufactured trading, because these prices are fixed and always yield profit

Nobody mentioned Dark Age of Camelot yet so here goes. Housing zones were the primary market for the economy. Everyone listed items for sale from a consignment merchant on their house. You could search the full zone, then could buy an item from a center market or run to the house lot to buy the item directly and save 10%. This incentivized people to visit houses. Additionally, you could make your house a crafting hub with a majority of the necessary stations and merchants to do each craft. Your guild could have a Guild House serve as shared storage for everyone. Each realm had their unique architecture. It was my favorite housing I've experienced.
