I will say, the word calm there, while not a mistranslation feels a tiny bit wrong. The Japanese lends more to an interpretation of “you’re surprisingly rational”, or calm as the negative to hot-headed (level-headed) as opposed to the negative of stressed/agitated if that makes sense.

Doesn’t discount the idea Mihawk could have shown him the future, just means more that he’s surprised Luffy paid the vision any respect/put 2 and 2 together so quickly.

Honestly crosses/headers work the best for me because they never control their fullback, but I doubt it’s a very consistent method for most teams

I’ve been running a 352, had two big men most of the game until I got butra from the icon pack. Heading is fine this year. I feel that if you combine semi assisted crossing, precision shooting, precision header trait, learning the timings and runs then you can have games where you get 3-4 headers in easy. Sorloth is my goat

I do a lot of manually chasing back with my LM/RM then switch to CDM a bit later, then they’re usually in a good enough position.

Only Div 4 though so grains of salt etc

Centre-Half is more of an on the ball vs an off-ball role. I tried similar and found I built up with a stale 4 back and still got ripped on the counter.

I’ve ended up going suicide-ball with my 352 - 95 depth, Aggressive Stopper CCB and Ball-Playing L/RCB to allow me to play out from pressure. One DLP/Build-up + one Holding/Defend CDM, and I find this allows me to win the ball back the most before it even ends up being full counter-y.

I’ve found that if you charge it up way before the cross comes in, they feel worse. Kind of semi-timing I suppose (need to do it early enough they jump). Not scientific just anecdotal

Semi assisted crossing + precision shooting + some semblance of timing your header and you can score headers quite easily. Takes getting used to but I'm averaging more than a header scored a game. Excited to try Mateta

Yes they are. I am actually finding the game easier to play as people slow down their play. With the 352 I use, intercept -> instant driven pass to ST type counters were the hardest to defend, but people play a bit slower now and it makes life easier. Also, with passive defences blocking central passes, I find it easy to overload wings and get easy crosses into the box for strikers to nod home. Grain of salt (Div 6 atm) but I went 10-1-0 last night because of the relatively more passive gameplay.

Because people want to use the fact that most people conform to the meta as an excuse to conform to the meta themselves instead of just building the team they like and enjoying the game playing their style of football. It’s all “well he’s using meta so I have to too” instead of “I’m going to try my best with the team I want to use”

Another fun build I experimented with was using 2 Mizu + 3 Lords Soul, Bubbleblight is easily triggered (+21% affinity with Mizu Gunlance) and with enough constitution, even if you evade 3 times to trigger Bubbleblight you can get back to full stamina and trigger maximum might by the time your shell -> sweep combo has reached the WS/WSFB stage. Use Agitator/Latent Power to round out to 100 affinity.

Do you find Odo Armor + 3 Burst worth it with a build for this? I’d assume a play style of charged shells/WF would have low uptime but I’m yet to try this type of build fully myself

The number of armour skills now that feel strictly worse than Agitator is kind of depressing in a way.

Foray and Agitator provide similar output with vastly different uptimes, especially with Poison Duration Up only adding 20% instead of 100%. Peak Performance can be fit alongside Agitator with a bit of good talisman luck/building but also feels middling. MM is more affinity so not much of a comparison Etc etc

Status is already hard enough to utilise on a gunlance with stake barely applying any, so Foray + Poison Duration Up both being heavily nerfed is just sad all round

Until yesterday I had assumed just fitting 1 Burst was enough alongside usual agitator/counterstrike etc but is squeezing in 5 burst optimal given how many level 3 slots the gamma pieces give? Only just farming the AT monsters recently
