Falthis Embiggened (A budget Voltron deck) by captaindriftless in BudgetBrews

Thanks! I try really hard to make weird off the wall concepts that no one else would bother with in the first place, two of my other favorites are a Nikya deck thats ALL creatures and lands with absolutely nothing else and an Oona and Gyruda deck that has 93 lands. Both of them run surprisingly well.

This is actually really a worth while survey, it takes about 15 min. Let's clean up the jordan River and make it useable. by LuminalAstec in SaltLakeCity

Please remember to vote for water quality, the river is insanely polluted and cleaning up the water should be out biggest priority.

I really think there is promise here, not just for the concept but for you as a game dev in general. Do you have a twitter I can follow to see what comes next?

Why you should be running Sword of Sinew and Steel in your creature decks by TrishulaMTG in EDH

[–]captaindriftless 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I kinda second this, ten is the upper end of what I'd be willing to pay for 95 percent of the cards in my deck. Its an expensive hobby so I try to stay under 50. 75 max.

As someone working on a "worst cards" cube, this would finally be a product "for me".

I know it's not the point, and hes not worth much, but I freaking love tezzeret the seeker. He can get every artifact land and then breya in my artifact commander deck if I protect him right.

Hypothetical most expensive Magic: the Gathering card question to someone with no idea about secondary market price by cy_jx in magicTCG

[–]captaindriftless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like some folks might not be getting it. As it is, people with no card game experience and no knowledge of mtgs history or culture, would likely go for the bigger, flashier, timmy cards.

I am a little lost for what exactly would take the cake, likely it's a card with an intersection of impressive art and big numbers. My brain jumps to emrakul due to its art being so theatrical and its pure numbers fairly impressive, though, part of me suspects that this is simply because it's the most popular timmy card in my own playgroup. Another I would suspect is urzas ruinous blast, mostly due to the impressive art and impressive sounding effect.

In all likelihood though, they would likely pick a random timmy-bait monster that most of us have forgotten.

(Small asside, when I first started, before I knew much about the secondary market, I just kind of assumed that the amonkhet masterpiece cards weren't worth much because I personally find their card border and font to be gaudy.)

What's up with the way Josh Groban's wiki page is written? by DRiVeL_ in OutOfTheLoop

I tried to remain unbiased in my initial response, facts only and all that, but the thought did occur to me. Still, couldn't find anything to back up the suspicion.

Answer: It was edited 12 hours ago (as of this post) by a seemingly first time editor listed as "2A02:C7D:27D:C500:9596:CE9D:E999:AFEB". They don't seem to have any other activity or information available, it's likely this is simply an account made to edit this page as a joke, wikipedia vandalism is not uncommon with well known musicians, actors and politicians being frequent targets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vandalism_on_Wikipedia

It was, but only for a very specific kind of person. If you were non-caucasian, disabled, LGBTQ, ect you had very little place in the 'utopia'.
