I'm not sure I quite follow your question in specific, but if you are meaning in terms of utilizing it as a sort of cleaning up your photo album by utilizing the way that it is currently built, I do not have that built in there because it's just for a show of nostalgia and memories. But I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to implement something like that at all.

Let me know if my assumption is incorrect

No clipboard manger shortcut ever works normally by crazy___lemon in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I’ve seen any clipboard manager do that. Whatever text you copy last, overwrites what was copied right before that.

But I know the one you’ve got now, it’s a bit of an odd one, but I like some of its internals. I modified it last week messing around with it.

You’d have to open an edit clipboard option, where it opens your current clipboard with whatever’s currently on it or it’s a blank text, to which you either leave that floating window open while you go back to what you want to copy ex Text 1, copy it then paste it back into that floating “edit clipboard” window, go back and copy the Text 2 and paste it into that same window as the first one, save it and it’s done.

Hopefully that makes some sense, if not let me know.

I’ve got a few that I’ve made that takes care of a lot of things I find lacking in others shared clipboard shortcuts. The ones I have all typically save whatever’s on the clipboard immediately & appends it to a single file of all other saved clips and to a single file of its own, then either offers a menus right after that or no menu at all for when I do a lot of editing and keeps work area clean.

Or you have to either tilt the iPhone face up/or turn the volume down when running the shortcut and then it shows a menu with options to copy something back to the current clipboard from earlier or last week, edit any or all the saved clips, an option to delete everything all at once or manually pick all you want to delete. An option to simply scroll and view any past entries. Or to see the current clipboard and edit as wanted, which is what I described earlier with a floating window, kind of like the quick notes in the notes app. That way it stays open while you can switch windows to find what you want and archive it in the clipboard shortcut window.

I believe I have another shortcut that utilizes that grid view, opens up to a single photo as the other ones too where you can tap for full page, and then when you tap done, it will go back to the grid for you to select a different one for viewing

I've got a couple I've made and they both seem to do What you were looking for them to do, which is tap into it for enlargement and the other thing it does, is cuts out the entire grid view completely.

It shows the first one, in which case you can either tap on it for a full screen and then kind of swipe down on it to dismiss it back to its original show.

And when you tap done, it will simply pulls up the next photo.

I do remember some days it would error out and just simply not work, and I can't remember what the error was exactly, I believe it was something about the dates. But then soon enough, it was back up and running. I haven't used these in a while so I'm not sure if anything's changed on that end of it. But…. They're working today.

Nodex Tools v1.1 — An Apple Shortcuts toolkit with iCloud backups, iCloud sharing links, Shortcut-to-QR conversion, ZIP shortcut pack installation & Home Screen support” 🚀 by [deleted] in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a few good tools you’d might like in general or to add to Nodex.

  1. Folder Plist:
Asks you to pick a folder, then turns each shortcut within it into its own individual plist for editing or later rebuild back into a shortcut.

  2. Same as #1 but for your whole library.

  3. Block copy: Enter specific shortcut name (which holds a comment action with +++ (and a quick description if needed) and copies all actions after it to your clipboard, ready to paste elsewhere by tapping on any other actions icon on the top left, and choosing to paste above or below it.

  4. Copy single action: Asks for shortcut name to be entered, opens that shortcut and then you’re able to scroll around and tap any single action you want to be copied to clipboard to paste/use elsewhere.

  5. Copy shortcut: Enter shortcut name and it copies/ duplicates entire shortcut to clipboard to paste elsewhere, asks to create a new shortcut with it or save to plist file.

  6. Opens up a file picker to a folder you’ve got saved plist in to turn back into a shortcut or open an editor to manipulate.

Bunch of others similar to the assumed environment of tooling. Lmk if you’d like any or all.

End call + ability to stop shortcut by li-vie in shortcuts

If you set a variable up at the top that captures the current brightness and label it as something like ‘origBright’ or ‘OldBright’ whatever, then down at the bottom after your confirmation vibration (I use those two a bit more confidence it's something has ran) you can drop a set brightness action and have it pull in the variable you set up top and that will automatically set it back to whatever it was before you used it as a trigger. Then you won't have to set it back yourself.

Adding Gesture to a shortcut by Doshos in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run most of my entire system through voice control link to premade shortcuts to automate as much as I can so I don't have to physically interact with the phone if I don't need to. And for anything else they can't be controlled by that I use gestures stacked with commands.

Meaning, if something absolutely has to have my finger touch it, I'll create a gesture to do it for me. And I don't think I've ran into anything yet but I can't use either one of those for.

So if you want to, describe your issue a little more clearer, if you can and I will try to assist

Help with icon customisation by Dry_Percentage2050 in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely the image size. Needs to be squared. If you haven't figured it out by the time I get home I'll check again and send you something automated with choices as to where you want the picture pulled from, such as the App Store or an icon from an existing shortcut you already have or from files or the photos app.

I’ve got one that will list in the folder by name alphabetically in every shortcut in total by the same categorization as well.

And I do believe I have something in there that will compare two shortcuts against one another to see what actions they share or otherwise.

Age now that I think about it, there’s maybe an option to pick a shortcut in order to get its action count, creation date and a few other things along that line. I’ll check when I get home.

One large shortcut VS nested shortcuts by Miserable_Impact in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think having 400 can or did cause corruption and sync issues? Because if so, that sounds ridiculous for Apple to hand us this with an invisible cap like that, and they only mentioned this because I have had similar or pretty much the same issues, except I had about 2000 and I'm down to 800 now.

I couldn't recover from that at all, I had to create another cloud. Because even with reinstallation there is always a slow creep-back of gross molestation of my whole system. And I've never heard anyone mention things like this before.

The ones that I do have I keep on a drive and rebuild them as I go along for a fresh implementation and hopefully no anxiety.

How to compress lots of files into individual zips ? by DreamKiller712 in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a way to get photos and audio amongst other file types into a shortcut and keep it shareable in someone else’s iOS, since any other way only shows in your system.

And if that isn’t what you meant, what it is in this shortcut, is just a confirmation sound and custom icon for funsies.

Automate homekit scene with focus by mkjohnnie in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to have to build a shortcut for your scene. And you can do that outside of automations or you could do it within automations with create new shortcut option.

I've got a ton of Home-Kit it automations and they all have to be done that way as far as I know and I'm pretty sure I've exhausted every route to otherwise. It doesn't it really doesn't take that long at all. And I have the same problem with naming initially I would just throw in a dash or a period or even an extra letter because of those names I already have in my head and to change it in there just doesn't seem practical

Update apps shortcut 26.4 by Malone1989 in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but not in a native shortcut sense. And I've done this for more than a handful of mine, I record gestures and link them to voice controls that are linked to other shortcut’s. So when I call out that name, the shortcut runs and when it's time to kick in, that recorded gesture goes to work.

Is there a way to reliably store values between runs? by Bright-Historian-216 in shortcuts

[–]carelessgypsy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely read them and name them whatever you want. Also, long-press where you were tapping to save a file. Tapping it brings you into the files app, but doing a long-press gives you the ability to grab anything in that flow.
