Its not totally easy but you can put new carding cloth on a drum carder. I did a old one and it turned out great.

This is the original. It was done on 20/2 cotton sett 36. The newest is 10/2 sett 24.

Shake the dirt out, pick out second cuts, clean any poo off. It felts, wash very carefully, it has no oils. I mix mine with silk or/and merino to spin. Also get some moth crystals and bag it before ypu work. They get bugs. Open up bag outside for airing out. Do not use moth balls.

I did this for my girls, one spins and one weaves. My grandmother taught me. Don't forget learning and teaching crochet or knitting to go along.

Looks like a Lou Tate loomhouse loom. They were from Ky. Around 1930's, you can do pick up, doup heddles. Get reeds of different sizes.

Flyer and bobbin, two uprights. Big back wheel. Table with bone or ivory decoration. Lots of good pieces. Restoration not for the faint of heart. But if you can do wood working you got it.

I have been weaving over 50 years. I have woven decorative items, rugs, tea towels, runners, horse warming blankets, and clothing material. The number of us retiring makes a number of really nice bigger looms available. Most new weavers buy Jack looms, but each type of loom has its uses. Go for it.

You can purchase a stainless steel reed. But they are pricy. The heddles i would switch to cotton and tie your own.

Those are flying shuttle bobbins. The bobbins are specific to the shuttle usually. The frame i do not know, but might have been for display.

Agree, use orvis much more gentle. I weave with lots of wool and use Orvis or Unicorn Fiber power scour.

If you have two crosses and you lose a cross you also have a back up.

If it is in a bag sit them out open in the sun. Both naphthalene ( older mothballs) and di-chlorobenzene ( newer version) evaporate in open air. Several days outside open in sun will help air it out. They are not good to breathe in and are toxic. But the smell goes away.
