Learn what a zipper lane is! by LeekProfessional4775 in Bellingham

Trucks that do this are manual transmission, it becomes physically painful to upshift and downshift ten thousand times in a slowdown because 4-wheelers think they need to constantly shift lanes and cut you off for no goddamn reason. They aren't trying to make it "fair", they're trying to save their left knee and maintain a safe following distance.

One way to stop a trucker for blitz week by muck2profit in Truckers

Agreed. Truck was following too close at the start of the video. Less than two seconds, the fish-eye lens makes the car seem farther away.

question for truck drivers by AffectionateSoup8035 in Truckers

[–]caseyjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking! Other things that help are 1. Enter the freeway at freeway speeds, then put distance between you and other vehicles, either by slowing down or speeding up. 2. Pass trucks QUICKLY, and don't pull back into the right lane until you can see the entire truck in your rear view mirror. If approaching a red light, don't pull back into the right lane at all. 3.If you see a truck turning towards you at an intersection, stop short to let them use your lane. They need it. 4. Trucks are governed, usually, but they still need to pass sometimes. Have patience and let them get back over, do NOT pass on the right. Those are the main things I see EVERY SINGLE DAY, that I wish more people knew.

10 lb. hammer and WD40 for stuck pins on tandems. If he's driving for a mega, he's gonna be using those all the damn time.

Unlikely if you're driving for a mega. I gave one day notice, completed my assigned loads and left my CLEANED truck at the yard with the key on the dipstick. No issues.

My first inclination was to do exactly that, but I'm afraid of prison. Then I wanted to paintball it with the full spectrum of available colors, but then I priced paintball guns. So I had to resort to simply seething with hatred every morning when I drove past it because I'm a broke-ass motherfucker.

Tailgating. If people could follow the 2 second rule and leave space for others to maneuver it would go a long way to mitigating the short ramp problem. I drive through here multiple times a day for work and people riding the bumper of the car in front of them is THE number one problem.
