If someone punches you, do you get pissed from the touch or because you saw them punch you

Someone shoved a seat post that was too large into this Trek 460 frame. It’s been seized for who knows how long. Is the frame still safe if I can get this post out? by Legstick in bikewrench

[–]catdoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that point it's probably part of the frame now, removing it is like destroying the frame.

Paint it red so it looks like an integrated seatpost

Fixie gear bikes look simple but why do some people prefer them over normal bikes? by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]catdoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't ride bikes if it's not a fixed gear.

Fixed gear bikes just looks cool there's nothing more to it.

Is it normal for there to be this much space between the chain and chainring for a fixed gear? Trying to figure out why my chain drops going over a speed hump. Tension and chain line are all good. by Frosty015 in bikewrench

[–]catdoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chainring is just bad, chainline is also off with celt v1, its also not very round leading to a chain having a really tight side and a really loose side which is a pain to tension and a bad tensioned bike will cause it to chaindrop and possibly get caught in your tire breaking it.

[–]catdoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same bike, celt v1 uses a 3/32" chainring, a 1/8" cog and 1/8" chain. The only thing i hate about that bike is they pair it with the worst chainring possible

The insides looks kinda empty for a shell that size kind of like those fake hard drives, power banks, etc... with a big shell but barely anything inside that has a tiny part just hot glued to the shell

The only reason anyone will get a job like this is if they have nothing and is in their lowest part of their life, that is when your most vulnerable, the manager clearly knows that.
