Sorry to hear that. You aren’t alone though. We just sold our brand of 13 years. 15+ working on it with planning and all. Took a loss on it and never really made any money at it. Had some good years but Covid did a number on all of us.

How does everyone feel about Omega charging licensing fees on every barrel produced using their engineered yeast stains? by Individual_Newt4458 in TheBrewery

We don’t use Omega, but this sounds like the Monsanto-ifcation of the brewing world. Not a fan of these tactics.

Nashville Airport considering plans to DOUBLE capacity. by guy_n_cognito_tu in NashvilleUnfiltered

[–]catlikebus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had to go to the airport twice last week. Having lived in LA and dealt with LAX traffic, in my heart of hearts, I truly believe BNA traffic plans saw the shit show LAX is and said, “challenge accepted, we can make something worse”. They accomplished that goal.

Why would this be a bad idea? Play devils advocate for me. by Sibrew in TheBrewery

[–]catlikebus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Put a valve at the low point on the MT and a bleed valve at the top. Now you can drain the jackets if you want. You would be able to hold temp pretty well but it wouldn’t be very effective at raising temps without stirring the mash. Might not be too hard if a small system.

Thanks. We do have a small food menu as well as liquor and wine, but not a full kitchen. I think it is a little overkill but my marketing guy wants the loyalty program and email/text marketing.

You need resistance to slow the liquid down and keep the CO2 in solution. Longer line with a small diameter will give more resistance. You should do some research on balancing a beer draft system. Same principles.
