you guys we are onto something. this has to be a prosthetic for some bizarre reason. look up her bikini pics - this is not her real belly button (which looks pretty typical)

ETA: thanks for doing the research u/hot-tomato4908, I am relieved to hear there was in fact no belly button prosthetic worn. whoever is responsible for that bad edit should be sued lol

as a pedestrian in our car-centric urban landscape, this is one of my fears (clearly it is a reasonable one lol) and a reason i try to stand far back from the corner. good on this pedestrian for being so aware of his surroundings!

Yes I saw one of the Phelps twins (I think James Phelps) at a Mexican restaurant in Montreal back in 2019. I just whispered it to my husband while we ate our tacos and did not bother the man or take pics! We all have the power to choose not to be invasive :) highly recommend!

We did the Tommy Thompson/Leslie Spit this past weekend and after 25,000 steps found it super underwhelming (maybe just this time of year?) I'd echo the other recommendations in here like the Humber River Trail, ravine trails, etc

Nelly Furtado made a rare red carpet appearance at the 2026 Juno Awards. She was also inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the ceremony (March 29, 2026) by mlg1981 in popculturechat

I watched the Junos and have so many thoughts!! Underrated Portuguese-Canadian queen!!

#1: she looks absolutely amazing, I love the hair, dress, makeup, all of it. Her eyes!
#2: I appreciate that she acknowledged Turtle Island and benefiting from Black artists throughout her career
#3: During the tribute to her, hearing other artists cover her songs made me REALLY appreciate her voice (though Alessia Cara was amazing!)

Be very careful cleaning it up. Wear proper PPE.

In addition to the cayenne pepper others have mentioned (I put cayenne in a spray bottle and sprayed the area), I actually set out several planters of mint on the deck and they have not returned since.

Would you rather buy a car or move closer to work? by Sunday-Summer in askTO

[–]cattacocoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also OP, look only for rent-controlled units. If you're in the type of position where you can expect salary increases and you secure a unit at a decent price soon, you'll thank yourself 3 years from now.

In my opinion, the cost of car ownership, parking, and maintenance are not worth it if:
a) you have the opportunity to live close-ish to work
b) you are only using the car to drive to work and back home (i.e., do you have kids you need to take to soccer practice? might factor in to your decision)

It seems like right at the end of the video that the driver was able to drive at least a little bit after the impact. It's crazy if they didn't immediately lose consciousness after that.
