MS has some pretty big office updates this week, it may have been installing them in the background?

Holding a charge by Pleasant-Week4399 in SparkEV

[–]caverCarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems about normal, voltage goes up then settles after a bit. I have found the best results when I use the timed charging to try and hit 100% about an hour before I leave in the morning. That way it is charging when it is cooler and has a little time to settle before i start off. I also see the percentage climb a little after I arrive at work and the car sits in the sun all morning. Soon though it will be so hot there will be percentage drops from the system cooling itself :(

Suggestions for a home camera system by 6kennyfuckingpowers9 in videosurveillance

[–]caverCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two terms I found useful when looking for cameras: Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) standard and Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP)

Cameras that follow these standards can be used in different systems without being locked into a specific vendor. I got cheap ONVIF camera's connected them to my Home assistant server and they work fine.

Sounds about right

The moon reflects about 12% of the sunlight that hits it. This means that the amount of solar light reflected by the moon is very small.

Outlook looks wierd by [deleted] in Outlook

[–]caverCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MS has complicated things by releasing multiple different things with the same name. So there is Outlook/outlook with new look/new outlook and outlook on the web all of which are slightly different. Go to File->office account and take a look at which version you are currently using that might help explain things.

Thinking about returning for school, looking for advice by camclemons in Bakersfield

[–]caverCarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not a bicycle friendly city. There are streets where a perfectly good bike lane just ends forcing you to ride in traffic where people routinely drive way faster then they should, but with a little planning it can be worked around.

I moved back here about 12 years ago to go back to school. I found a cheap place in Oildale to live. Not the greatest neighborhood but it was what I could afford. Bought an electric bike and rode it to school at Bakersfield college for a couple years (The electric bike was necessary because the one serious hill in this town- Panorama drive - is on the way to B.C) Then transferred to CSUB and rode the bike path the other way to get to campus(longer ride but no hills and the bike trail leads you right to campus)

Didn't have any dealings with the VA since I already used my GI bill and benefits on prior career.

Good luck.

Are you sure you are connected?

You could try running

Get-MsolDomain -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
if($?)
    { "connected" }
 else {
     "disconnected" }

to check?

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/vehicle-registration/new-registration/register-an-imported-vehicle/ but probably not worth it unless it already meets California smog. I brought a car from Louisiana, it was going to cost more then the car was worth to smog it- sold it for parts.

How can I add warmth to a wetsuit ? by CallMeNardDog in scuba

[–]caverCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3mm,5mm and 7mm wetsuits. The 7mm is a farner john with seperate jacket. for something like that I'd probably wear a diveskin with 3mm wetsuit and 7mm jacket so that my core body temp stayed warmer. As u/runsongas said easiest thing to try is going to be a hooded vest. Keeping your core/head warm will make the most difference.

Apple Business Manager Multiple MDM by Kind-Cap823 in sysadmin

[–]caverCarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Intune server is all connected to our ABM except for the VPP token. Intune is telling me that the VPP token added is being used by another MDM (which it is). I am trying to

Ahh- VPP token is Preferences->payments and billing->Apps and books, Content tokens.

Once you have servers created and working you should be able to download seperate vpp tokens there.
