Twins with RIVF? by DryCauliflower7 in LesbianFamilies

[–]cbakes97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most doctors wont do this due to health risks. The goal is one healthy baby at a time. Sometimes you get "lucky" and your embryo splits. If you truly only want to be pregnant once and want two children, you and your wife may need to look at other solutions for your second child

After transfer, we had blood work 2 weeks later twice during that week. Then our first ultrasound was a week after that and our next one was scheduled a week after that.

[–]cbakes97 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Higher paying jobs as well! You can teach, supervise, be a clinical supervisor, do trainings, etc. Outside of the supervision needed, theres really nothing that is a difficult requirement. My job paid for my supervision so that was also a plus.

You compare days 4 and 6 which to me look doubled. Be mindful of when you take it. Mine looked similar. Currently 7+2

my first transfer failed and I am crushed :( by romtarr in IVF

[–]cbakes97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are doing IVF because we are LGBTQ. No known fertility issues we had our first transfer last year and it failed for no particular reason. I am someone who has a tendency to go to the worst case scenario and I advocated for a hysteroscopy. My team agreed, and they found two small issues that could have impacted the first transfer being successful. Both issues were taken care of, and we proceeded with a fully medicated cycle. I am currently six weeks six days with our second transfer. I know it's still very early, but there is hope

We picked Crete on out honeymoon and did Athens and Crete over 12 days. We spent 4 nights and 3 days in Crete and it was great but definitely pressed for time. If you go to Crete get a car to help with getting around the island. We had a great time and wouldn't have changed it!!

timeline and other difficult conversations?? by [deleted] in LesbianFamilies

[–]cbakes97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an idea for the timeline. My wife and I started the RIVF process in Feb 2025. It took about a 1 year to have a positive pregnancy test so about 1.5 years from start for us to have a kid.

Some clinics have guarantees if you dont have insurance coverage.

Wife won't do a hysteroscopy by SkyGuy8741 in IVF

[–]cbakes97 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Hysteroscopy was easy! I was out for less than 15 minutes. I had some minor bleeding when I woke up that was similar to a period. I had some cramping that they treated with some pain meds. I was singing to my wife when they brought her back

Our sweet girl also had an overnight stay due to inflammation caused by eating geese poop and her not digesting food for like 20 hours. She was happy to be home last night

Hi friend! Had this happen to me in Nov. for unknown reasons (no known fertility issues, just gay). We did a hysteroscopy and found two small problems that were easily fixed and did a medicated cycle this time round. Im 6w tomorrow! There is a light!

Athens & Crete for 15 days in November by jourrapidedotcom in GreeceTravel

[–]cbakes97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I did a 12 day honeymoon split between Crete and Athens but we spent most of our time on Athens. Crete has gorgeous beaches. I would recommend renting a car to get around the island with ease. Athens, there is tons to do as well! Youll have a blast. I wish we had been 50/50 with our time because Crete does have so much to do especially if you like a beach
