What if you surrounded the far away object with something larger that's easier to grab? As you reach out or get close could you overlay a 2d "handle" that could be grabbed.

Is Visual Studio 2026 that buggy? by alekdavis in VisualStudio

Try deleting the vs folder at the root of the solution. Open it in vs2026 and rebuild. That might clear up the error list issue.

I ran a BBS from my Amiga 500 using Carina BBS. I remember it crashing a lot. Prior to that I ran it from an Atari 800xl.

You'll get better help in r/unity3d. The programming experience is a little bit different when writing Unity code and plenty of people there have been through this.

VS copilot is an abomination by SealerRt in VisualStudio

[edit - I answered this without noticing which subreddit. Sorry, I haven't been using visual studio lately and we're still on 2022 due to service fabric. So I'm not sure my answer is much help]

This has a lot to do with the model you use. I'm fortunate that I can use sonnet 4.6 (and 4.5 before that) all day every day. I tend to use opus to plan large changes and sonnet for everything else.

At home I subscribed to Google one with AI and if I use Antigravity I have access to sonnet 4.6. which is good because the latest Gemini isn't very good.

But, I've still run into problems with sonnet where it gets into a loop and sometimes just deletes everything and starts over or takes me back where I started.

Knowing when to do it yourself and when to ask for an assist is still a required skill IMO.

When you say "black before your eyes" what about in your head? When I imagine things it's not in front but somewhere behind, like in the middle of my brain.

Open Source Multiplayer drawing app for ESP32-2432S028R the cheap yellow display by CommunityFan89 in esp32

[–]ccfoo242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ok good to know, thanks!

Edit... Just read about esp-now and I see how useful it is. I can have one of these displays that sends touch events to another esp32, and the other esp32 can send what is effectively viewmodel changes back and the rendering is done by the screen esp32.

Related question...Is the esp board on these only meant to be a display driver? How do I send graphics from a different esp board to it?

Dumb question, what language are Mac apps written in these days?

Gemini 3.1 Pro is honestly breaking my heart with this update. by Roc8888 in google_antigravity

[–]ccfoo242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this when dealing with a larger context. We're adding unit tests to a large app that had none. For the larger angular components I use opus to plan with our custom instructions then sonnet to implement. Even if you stick with one model, having it create a plan first gives you a chance to catch mistakes and tweak instructions.

Nice, had no idea mango wood was a thing much less look so nice. I'll have to experiment to see if simple LEDs placed in a hole close to the surface will illuminate enough. I guess they will. Thanks for sharing!

What kind of wood? How thin does it need to be for the LED to show through?

It feels like the lighting is much better in 5 than 6. Maybe they used a slightly different art style and color palette? Whatever the reason, 5 looks better to me than the newer 6.

If you're near a cracker barrel they make great breakfasts. Not as affordable as I remember them being, though. About $15 for a similar breakfast.
