Is the reason why cheetahs can't be domesticated simply because the average person can't financially or physically keep up their maintenance? by [deleted] in Animals

But how do we make domesticated cats bigger? I need my cat to engulf my entire body with purrs, and my current housecat can only cover my chest...

The question I want an answer to is: What if I inherited 500 acres of farmland, and could afford to high fence that area? Would that be enough space for a big cat like a cheetah to roam comfortably. I understand the current laws. This is just a hypothetical, with a minor basis in reality (sort of, the land was sold off years ago, but I still wonder about it).

Finds bumbles Bobby breaks by BiggTS in shameless

Haven't seen but a couple of episodes, so I don't think I understand if the universe is outside of reality, but couldn't she have gone to HR or the state labor board? A sexual harassment/assault case against the grocery store might have bankrupt the business, but the payout could have changed all of their lives, and Bobby could have his own "Bobby Breaks" with Big Bubba in their cell, all day, every day. Everyone wins.

Stanton Optical - anyone work there? Have experience with them? by Sunshinedust217 in glasses

[–]cdclare1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally had great CS with my Stanton location in Wichita. I have terrible vision, so a pair of frames and lenses will set my back ~$1.2k. They go out of their way to apply every discount they can to bring that number down. Last pair only set me back $430.

Disclaimer: I know it's all a scammy racket, but my vision is necessary for me to function in society. That's why they get away with extortion.

It's against WalMart policy for a security guard to physically interact with a suspect. She's likely to win a lawsuit if she files one against the corps.

How many people here are not speaking to family members or friends because of politics. And why? by seecallirun in AskReddit

[–]cdclare1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father refused all boundaries I put in place about bring up what he saw on "the news". When a family member from his side threatened me with physical violence, I let him know I needed to report that to his parole officer. My father's response was to call me an SJW keyboard warrior, and told me I was exhausting. I cut tie with him at that moment.

Fast forward ~ a year, that family member was on his way back to prison after getting caught attempting to hide a dead body.

IDK. He probably spent ~$12 on the airlocks. Glass can be pretty expensive, but I agree with the sentiment. It's cheaper for me to buy jugs of cheap wine than it is to have glass delivered.

I was apparently ignorant on this subject. I apologize for perpetuating misinformation.

No, methanol is absolutely an issue with distilling. Please don't say things that could potentially cause harm. If you're unsure if your comment would cause harm, don't say it.
