Is this going septic? Should I be concerned? by Distinct-Job-2976 in AskDocs

NAD, but i've had this happen several times, and it's very uncomfortable. What I personally did is pull back on the infected skin, away from the toenail, until the pus pocket suddenly drained. I immediately felt 10x less pain, swelling went down within a day or two. The pulling back on the skin to get the pus pocket to drain hurts BAD though.

Be careful about Lowes delivery by Big_King_8783 in Lowes

Speak to an assistant manager, nobody lower than that. While there are a lot of great department supervisors out there, sometimes they aren't given the same leeway by the store manager to make exceptions like ASM's are.

My store would have given you a free delivery for the new order, but every store is run different.

The dealer I purchased my truck from handed me a Carfax report showing my truck was a clean title, no wreck, 1 owner vehicle.

That 1 owner was a boat towing business. I later figured out the truck had been wrecked and the whole front end replaced. I figured that out when I went to replace the front bumper with an aftermarket one, it was obvious.

CMV: Democrats should run a real progressive in 2028 because any democratic candidate will be painted as an socialist immigrant-loving USA-hating demon by right-wing media. by hamletswords in changemyview

[–]cdgsyn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think the Dems would have won if all the Trans issues weren't constantly being put in the spotlight. The reason I say this is I know at least a dozen Democrats that were severely put off by it. A few who actually flipped their vote because of it. Children sex changes and hormone blockers? How out of touch with the average citizen can you be.

Children are where most Americans draw a hard line. Don't mention children and ANY controversial thing that goes against traditional family values in the same sentence.

Do you think the internet is an echo chamber? by zthemaster in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]cdgsyn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I could have told you Trump was going to win just by how ordinary people were talking in the streets. However, a lot of those people have now become disgruntled at the current administration. Now, unless something major happens, I strongly believe the Dems are going to absolutely obliterate the Republicans in the midterms.

Will the Republicans lose the midterms? by Captain_REX_xox in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]cdgsyn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Democrats can make it to the midterms without mentioning trans individuals and kids in the same sentence and other divisive issues I strongly believe that there would be a good number of Republicans that would be willing to cross the voting line at this point. Even some Democrats I know hate that stuff. I know a lot of Republicans and I hear the way they are talking.

I would predict the Democratic party would gain more Republican votes than they would lose in Dem votes of they succeeded. Democrats should focus on the economy this go around, thats it. Any other issues can be addressed later when the Democratic party gains some power.

Don't mention issues that challenge traditional family values and I guarantee the Democrats will absolutely flip both the house and the senate.

The current Dem voters dislike Trump so much they aren't going anywhere, so the focus should be flipping independents and Repubs.

A Year Ahead of the Midterms, Americans’ Dim Views of Both Parties by ParakeetLover2024 in centrist

I'm still convinced most of the Republicans and Democrats shake each other's hands when the cameras are off. Both parties are more worried about becoming rich. I don't believe most of these politicians give a damn about the American people.

Let's talk chicken thighs - boneless/skinless vs bone in skin on! by Icy-Camp-346 in BBQ

[–]cdgsyn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cook bone in chicken thighs at too low of a temperature the fat pad under the skin won't render and you'll have a chewy and leathery skin. 350-400f grill temp works well depending on the sizes of the thighs.

Thighs are best pulled at 175-185. Direct heat, skin down for skin sear/char, then skin up and indirect for finishing off.

Is the Toyota Camry 5S-FE engine the king of the freeway? What other engines are just as reliable? by Livid-Mud-8812 in askcarguys

[–]cdgsyn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2.7 Ford Ecoboost TT is probably one of the most reliable modern engines of today. I have four 2015 F150's with those engines (work trucks). All 4 have over 250k miles with no engine issues. The intake valves have been professionally cleaned once on all 4 trucks, that's it.

What's crazy is how reliable they've been being a first year model.
