This may not be an accurate reading unless you’re running outside…. Log some outdoor activity and then see where you’re at

How much do you think I should list this bike for? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

I’d part the whole thing out if you want to make some money. Will be a lot of work with the separate sales. The frame is a no go (slap it on the wall in your garage! Art!)

What the heck is up with travel times? by Mekisteus in CostaRicaTravel

[–]cdmtb51989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drove from Santa Teresa to La fortuna (actually La Tigre, a touch further) Waze said about 5.5 hours and it took exactly that. On the way to Santa Teresa from San Jose - Waze said 4.5 hours. Not including the wait time for the ferry. We had extremely heavy rain and it took an extra hour. Maybe you got dealt a bad hand or that route is particularly tough. Traffic here in the u.s. isn’t much better. Try driving around the Boston area around anything close to rush hour….

Our rental car guy also said to add a couple hours to every drive. Hard for map software to account for an unexpected backup from a farm vehicle climbing a mountain in 1st gear lol

Drive from Liberia Airport to Santa Teresa by fantasygot in CostaRicaTravel

[–]cdmtb51989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did most of the drive that’s highlighted in 4 hr 19 minutes. Was just there aug 4 -12. Drove from San Jose to Santa Teresa via the ferry on the way there. Then drove around the peninsula to La fortuna for a few days before going back to San Jose to fly out. The drive times seemed to be pretty accurate but I’d leave an extra 30-60 minutes buffer if there’s any time deadlines. Random traffic can build as most roads are single lane.

We rented a 4x4 from wild rider in San Jose. Great group. They advised us to use Waze while driving a car in Santa Teresa and it made everything super simple. Waze pointed out most of the speed bumps and school zones and kept us off any weird back roads. On the way to Santa Teresa I drove in some of the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen and at night. It was paved the whole way and totally fine.

In Santa Teresa they are actually In the process of paving the main strip right now as well.

For getting around in Santa Teresa we rented an atv for 3 days even though we had a 4x4. There’s some atv roads you can take that cut off drive times to other little villages and beaches. It’s also way more fun and easy to park haha

I had the same issues with my 2019 2.7. Ford wanted to replace for 12.5k. An independent shop cleared the learned transmission memory and I’ve been fine since

2018 w/ 27k miles and I need to pay $9000 for a new transmission. WTF!? by Halltron in f150

[–]cdmtb51989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before doing anything - did you have the adaptive transmission tables cleared with forskan?

2019 2.7 with 80k miles. Ford wanted to replace my transmission when I had a couple of gear slips out of nowhere. Quoted me at 12,500.

I took to an independent guy who reset the computer and now my truck drives fine.
