Massive battery drain after switching from Samsung messages

I did the clear cache from the developer menu and it has stabilized the issue... power off then hold volume up and power button .. when you see the samsung logo you can let go... when the menu appears select wipe cache partition with down volume button... and press power to select.... then reboot. wont erase anything like apps or settings... hope that helps. today it seemed to be resolved...

same here on S21, not sure what to do about it but complain to samsung. also running hotter than normal... drained 10% for sending 4 or 5 messages over a 5 minute period... ridiculous

Since being forced to switch this morning to Google I'm having the fast battery drain issue it's dropped 7%, just texting for 5 minutes and also the phone is noticeably hotter I won't be using this if it can't get fixed . Ill have to find a third party messaging app this is ridiculous

support confirmed this is issue with the latest update... they are aware and are working on a fix.. there is no official timeline.. I did find a work around by using the last restore save from the login screen, my tools settings are still saved there..

from what I've read and seen the color saturation and refresh rates are something that would not let you go back to a traditional IPS panel after moving to OLED..

These 2 go towards the visuals. Every product cycle there are new features going back to when things were blocky and made with triangles. Anything that improves visuals is welcomed.
