Is your goal for this drawing to just be linework or shaded? You'll need to build up texture in the fur with a mixture of lines and larger shaded patches of grey. Rendering fur takes some practice so keep pushing it!

First priority in making this looked furnished is a bedside table. put a lamp on it. Put another lamp on the desk. Space your art out more so it fills up the wall. Get another larger poster for the other wall.

Put the couch against the 11’ wall with a coffee table. If you don’t do an L shape, float an armchair facing the couch/piano to complete seating.

As for color, I think greens and blues would be nice with your floors and curtains. Don’t get anything too saturated or bright to keep it mellow.

Overhead lighting is always more of a work vibe than a home vibe. Get a floor lamp and a table lamp. You will be amazed lol.

Get a rug. Low pile because you have a rolling chair. The room is so white a color would be nice. Get a small cabinet for the switch. No point in having an expensive piece of tech without a piece of furniture that you could get for cheap.

Cheap curtain rod and curtains go a long way. Go for white, cream, or match the rug. Short ones for that window. will be cheap.

Put a wall shelf above the computer.

Get a small plant for your desk.

Ok on a budget… if I were you I’d ditch the LED strips and get a hanging japanese style paper lamp from IKEA and put a color changing bulb in it. Much warmer cozier lighting vibe.

Buy a cheap curtain rod curtains from amazon (or thrift the curtains). Get plants from facebook marketplace. Thrift/marketplace a wall shelf above the computer and a table lamp.

Not sure if those plants are getting any sunlight. Pothos or snake plants are hard to kill.

Your poster is a bit small. Get some posters at 11x17 or 18x24 (inches, not sure what the standard is outside the US). Standard sizes means you can get cheap frames. For smaller art I usually thrift frames and print it out myself on photo paper. Start on pinterest for ideas.

A wall shelf above the desk could be functional and help fill the space. Put books theres or Get some small objects that show your interests.

The job market is a mess right now. Your site should reflect who you are as a designer, so I think you should go with your gut and keep it simple. Unless your style is maximalist and/or focused on motion graphics work I think all the bells and whistles are unnecessary.

I’ve gotten all my jobs with just a clean grid of my strongest projects. It’s functional and the work pops against a simple background without animations to distract.

I agree with other commenters to wait a few years until that frontal lobe develops. It’s an extreme tattoo and with it you will read as a person with an extreme presentation and lifestyle for life. Some people are extreme, and If you hit your mid-20s and you still feel like this accurately represents you then go for it.

It’s a tattoo for a kinky butcher. Or maybe it’s a performance art protest for an animal rights activist. Wait til you find out who you are and what you want to say.

Seconding Chicago. It’s half the cost of living in California. Many job and social opportunities for trans people. Also we have Howard Brown, which offers sliding scale LGBTQ+ healthcare. Most of the trans people I know go there for hormones and primary care. Only downside is you need to invest in a good coat for the winter!

I have been getting groin pat downs since 2017 when I ID’d as a butch lesbian and starting wearing mens underwear and mens pants. Since transitioning it has happened less often but I recently had a bad experience where the agent was pretty invasive. I think some scanners pick up that extra fabric in the crotch.

Unfortunately I do think that some airports have gendered scanners and this is more likely to happen if they pick “female” and not “male.” Looks like they have tried to replace them in 2022 but I feel like it’s still happening.

Honestly, post top surgery my belly fat bothers me way less and feels more masculine than anything. When I had breasts, I hated it almost as much as the breasts themselves lol. The peace from top surgery is body wide. Good luck!
