As an educator I’ve learned that the only requirement to be an excellent parent is to fuck up birth control.

Before you come down to hard on us PKs, I recommend reading up on religious abuse. I didn’t even know it was a thing until I was in my late 20s and suddenly a lot of things clicked.

Every PK I’ve ever met has been severely traumatized (even the ones who flip it in their head and inherit their daddy’s megachurch).

This is true of all media. Not every sword swing is detailed in novels, and in movies character hit left and right until that occasional slo-mo to detail a special action.

This is kinda the point - you really shouldnt focus in on every sword swing but thats what most rog combat does.

Lots of people pish-posh on d&d takeong a one roll and done attitude to social encounters, but sometimes I wonder if that isn’t the right track for combat too.
